Thank you! It’s all the wife. She likes pretty things. We used to eat out more but it’s become so dang pricey. We pull inspiration from everywhere, including this thread. We’re food thieves. Also, not shown, our messy range and constant dish washing.

You folks sure know how to eat!!
We had some hambone beans and cornbread muffins this evening. I make these in a huge batch on new years day using the holiday ham, then freeze batches.
I like mine with sweet Vidalia onion.

Just a BLT with Cauliflower Soup. This was the 3rd time I had this combo for lunch this past week. The soup is topped w/freshly ground pepper & EVOO.

Had to buy a loaf of bread and a head of iceberg lettuce just to make 1 BLT, so bought enough tomatoes and made enough bacon to make 8. Still had 2 qts of cauliflower soup in my fridge from I made a few wks ago. This was the last of the 1st quart and still have 1 to go.

Made about a gallon of asparagus soup this morning, which I had with another BLT that I made for lunch today. LOL!

Went to the Crawfish Barn with the family just down the road;

50/50 lamb/beef burgers and leftover salad with Aslan’s Batch15 IPA. It’s easily our favorite local beer. Wife turned the leftover baked potato from last night into cheesy potato cakes with chives.

Had the "2 car pileup" at a ma and pa diner for breakfast. It's two homemade biscuits that are topped with hash browns, bacon, OE eggs, cheese, green chile, and sour cream. Man was it good and filling!
