Whats the best flipper for the money??? I developed a liking to flippers!

Not a bad knife, light and thin, really good for the money like all the kershaws. It was just a little small for my hands so I gave it away. The flipper could also use some jimping or something to make it easier to flip. You won't regret it. If you don't like it you can easily sell it and only loose like $5.

Thanks to you and the other member who commented on your post. I hope you're right!

Maprik makes them, he's here on the forum :)

He does good work, he did the blade, the anodizing and the new clip

I hope the Domino is a good one as I have one on its way shortly! :)

If I end up not liking the Domino, then my next choice and the one I will go after is the ZT 0566.

ZT 0560 series and I think the new Guardian Tactical Helix is a good flipper on bearings. Microtech DOC too. My 0560 is a great flipper though.

Domino is very nice, my friend has one and it's just a great knife. If you already like Spyderco ergonomics, you'll love it since it's classic Spyderco in design. Blade steel is quite nice, the flipping action is fast and crisp and it locks up solid. I like the scale more in person than I did in pictures, it's quite nice.

Only two gripes really and one is fixable. I like deep carry and the pocket clip it comes with rides pretty high out of the pocket in tip up carry. I believe you can get second market clips for it though. Second is the jimping on the lock cut-out. From a day to day perspective, it's fine and not a big deal. However, when you flip it and close it a bunch it starts to irritate the thumb a bit. Not a big deal because once that honeymoon "flip it a thousand times a day" phase ends, you won't notice it.

^^^ Or until you build a good "I'm addicted to playing with knives" callous on that thumb. :D

The Domino is an excellent knife, it's a difficult decision every morning. Domino, 0560 or the 0801. The ZT0700 is also a very nice flipper for the money, but not in the same league as the others I mentioned. The handle may look a bit odd, but is very comfortable.

I love the skyline purely because I'm a fan of compact folders. Ergonomicslly the skyline carries really well but gives you lots of knife to handle ratio! Such a steal at that price too.

I just received a Brous T4 and it's awesome. I've never owned another flipper so I can't compare it's smoothness with anything else but man is it smooth. It's pretty thick but screams quality. I'm excited for the Bionic that is coming out as well.

After doing a ton of research and watching a lot of videos. I decided to get the spyderco southard. I'm glad that I did. It's an amazing knife and I got mine for less than 200 on this forum. So glad that I chose that over any of the larger ZT knives. Amazing edc. I never even care my dragonfly now unless I'm in dress clothes.

Lots of good flippers posted here including one of my favorites . . . the Spyderco Southard. But if you've got a few extra dollars to spend and you don't want to see yourself coming and going, I'd recommend the Rod Olson Quick Flip Button Lock Flipper. With an action and bearing system designed by Brian Tighe, it's the smoothest flipper I've ever laid a hand on. Just Google "Rod Olson Lightning Strike" and it will pop right up for you!

Great recommendation for those needing high quality flippers with a 3" blade and weighing just 3 ounces.

How's the RWL 34 stainless steel blade?

Kershaw DLC JYD fits the bill besides the easy to maintain edge part. (The cutting edge is D2).

The blade length is a hair over 3.5, it's a dream to flip, but it rides in the pocket a little high. Nothing too bad though.

I love my Kershaw JYD 2.2. I bought three; gave two to friends. Less than $100 each.

I have had the Domino now for short while now and it seems like a nice knife. Good feel and good quality so it should be fine for me. However, I still want a 566 to see how it compares to the Domino so I might have to give a few things up sometime and get me one! :D

I got a micro tech mini-matrix recently and it's smooth!
