What's the BEST Folder You Have...and YOUR FAVORITE?

Best AND favorite: Hinderer Gen. 3 XM-18 flipper with red G-10 and tumble finish

The best I have now is my ZT 0500 MUDD. My favorite however is a Kershaw Shallot that I got under very generous circumstances. ;)

best and favorite: Leatherman c300
got it this past Christmas from myself, and it's definitely my best and favorite folder. My most used would be the knife on my Wave v2.

Well, I ended up not getting the Kulgera. But my best/favorite - it's between these two:

My best knife is my Matt Cucchiara Mini Scrapper. And my favorite is my Rick Hinderer XM-18. I chose that XM-18, because Rick made THAT one for me!! My other favorite XM-18 IS my all titanium one.

My best is a small Sebenza.

Don't kill me but my favorite is the mini griptilian. It's easier to use and I don't worry about losing or damaging it.

The best I have? :)

As a "steel junkie", the Kershaw Blur SG2 and the Junkyard dog 2 Ti/SG2.
For daily use the Blur S30V.
For heavy duty my two Mini Manixes.

They're all my favourites. :D

The Best Folder is the folder that person is carrying! That's what I meant. It's a question that will have many answers!

Mostexpensive Folder = Spyderco Paramilitary
Best Folder= Spyderco Tenacious

Got it on EBAY for like 30 sumthing dollars.

Without thinking too much, I'd have to say my "best" knife is my Vic Soldier. It will probably be more useful, and perform as well as any other knife I own, on a daily basis. It's near and dear to my heart, although hardly anything to write home about (although apparently not so bad that I won't write about it on this forum).

My favorite is a tie between my medium amber bone stockman with CV blades, or my single blade queen trapper (or utility knife) with honey bone scales and a D2 blade. If I had to choose one, I might pick the Case just cause I've carried it about 5 years longer. A new favorite might be the Northwoods Scagel #11 my girlfriend just got for me, but we (meaning the knife and I, not the girlfriend and I) haven't had time to bond yet, so I'm not ready to give it the nod just yet.

I love these forums! This was fun.

Well, it's nice to see that the favorite ones aren't always the most expensive ones.

I just broke out a little Byrd Cara Cara that I bought for twenty-something dollars. It has the G10 scales and is a very endearing knife for some reason. The stainless parts are polished and the thing fits the hand as if it were custom designed. The blade material is decent, the lock strong and the knife can be taken apart. There's no play in my knife and how Spyderco can sell these things for as little as they do is just mind boggling. In fact, if forced to have only one knife for carrying, this Cara Cara would be far from the last knife on my list.

I've got many knives with a little better blade steel and that cost more, but very few that appeal to me as much as this knife. It makes a great gift, it's easy to carry, easy to sharpen and is comfortable to hold and use. I'd rather have this knife than some that cost hundreds of dollars.

As far as my "best" knife, I'd have to say (irrespective of price) that it's either my CRKT S-2, with a titanium frame and an ATS-34 blade, or my Buck Alaskan 110 with an S30V blade. As good as the Buck is, though, it's too bloody heavy to be my favorite.

The Byrd Cara Cara is a good knife to buy before someone
wises up and raises the price!
