Whats the Dullest Knife You Ever got New?

Proabably a puma bowie, basically had no edge, if you count burs that are rolled over, a few case knives were bad too, nothing I buy its to my specs though lol hits the stone before I even cut with it:D

Easy, a Benchmade Grip 551. Dull out of the box. :barf:

I have had sharper bricks of butter.

Gerber Profile was by far the worst and dullest knife I have ever bought or owned. I do like some Gerber knives like the Gator and EZ outs and stuff but that Profile sucked big time.

Cold steel machete.if it wasn't for the semi bevel I wouldn't have been able to tell wich end was for cutting.

Cold Steel latin machete. Worst edge I ever saw. In fact there was no real edge at all. Wat seriously hard to see the differnce between te front and the back of the blade.

They do state the following on their website:

Cold Steel said:
Each Cold Steel® machete comes with a good utility edge which, with just a little work, can be made hair shaving sharp.

The two CS machetes I own were dull, but not dull enough to be considered unserviceable out of the box. I guess this is what CS considers a "good utility edge".

I guess i've been lucky, and i know i'm not as picky edge wise as you guys.If it's meat cuttin' sharp,i'm a happy camper.I have picked up several Camillus knives off the evil scumbay that had a round no edge. But these were unfinished knives and was expected although not described as such. They were some of the best deals i've gotten lately.

Queen Cutlery Tear Drop Liner in BEM, not only was the D2 blunt it had an unwanted serration or 2 on it:barf:

But, it was otherwise completely unsharpened.Takes a long time to get that D2 keen or is it just my incompetent sharpening technique:D

Kinda the other side of the Sharpest Knife thread...
What is the Dullest or Least Sharp Knife you ever received New?
Mine was a Busse Game Warden... I have had other Busse that were satisfactory or better. But a FFGW I got was a Blunt instrument!

Mine was also a Busse game warden . Solution : sharpen it !

That fact does not stop Busse from being the best hard use knives in the world . Nuff said

probably about 15 years ago my wife bought me a really beautiful case, red bone mini trapper that i honestly don't think would cut air. it was a shame to because the bone was great and the overall fit and finish of the knife were excellent. called case and they said no problem just send it in and we'll take care of it, i just whooped out the stones and did it myself. I know i'm old but any knife should come shaving sharp from the factory.
