What's The Last Thing Your EDC Cut?

Tonight I was at a dinner party at church, and my son borrowed my Para to cut a balloon free so he could walk around with it.

I stabbed a loaf of bread at work tonight because I didn't feel like walking all the way to the bread aisle to put it back on the shelf. My bread pokin' knife, a Benchmade 710.

..my thumb. EDC: BM722. The Axis lock has been sticking a bit since I cleaned it recently, so this morning I was flicking it a bunch in my delivery van trying to work the action out. Later, while unloading the van, I noticed that my opposite thumb has a DEEP slice right down the thumbprint! I never felt it at all, til I got flour in it. Ouch!

cleaned a few fish with my serated edge native III. cut off the head and tail like nobody's business.

I cut open a clamshell package this afternoon with my birthday present from this morning; a Spyderco Crickett SS.

Puukkoman: What in the heck are you using to cut 1" PVC?

Gutsy: I have a Necker too and I agree, they're cool blades!

Benchmade Ares (combo-edge). Didn't have any more hacksaw blades, and the crosscut saw was out in the garage. Needed to trim about 2 inches off a length of pvc while installing a water heater, so I sawed right through it. Thought it would be a lot more difficult than it was (took less than a minute), and surprisingly enough the edge (including the serrated portion) was just fine afterwards!

 I was going to ask the same question.

Seems like the Ares is a pretty stout knife!
