Whats the sharpest production knife youve ever received out of the box?

I noticed a lot of people mentioning spyderco models. I too love their edges, my military had excellent sharpness out of box. But I'll never forget the most random knife, a kershaw tremor in aus8 or 8cr13mov, had a peculiar sharpness to it. I was push cutting phone book paper with it, and at $20 I will never forget that.

Every Spyderco i've gotten has been perfect out of the box, next to that Kershaw Leek and XM-18.

I bought a little 1095 fixed blade made by fellow forum member Andy Freedberg and that thing was insane!!! Sharpest production out of the box was my Spyderco Stretch in ZDP-189.

Edit: I reneg. My Shun Sora kitchen knives (VG-10) were absolute insanity.

For me it's probably a toss up between my ZT 0801, Spyderco Domino Blue CF, and every Kershaw Blur I've purchased (maybe six of them).

Spyderco Dragonfly ZDP-189. Mind-blowingly sharp.

On the other hand, the $1100 Crusader Forge FIFP I bought about a year and a half ago was dull and essentially a folding pry-bar. Much disappoint.

That silly FFG Endura 4 was scary sharp when I got it, and still has an amazing level of sharpness. Speaking of, I have a few old (read 20+ years old) SE Enduras that were SHARP, and the newer SE versions don't seem as sharp as the old ones. Has Spyderco reduced sharpness on their SE knives, and has anyone else who's had both versions experienced this, too?

Had plenty of knives that were decently sharp out of the box. But the Victorinox Gardener stands out in my memory. The one with the single sheepsfoot blade.
