What's the strangest item you have in your survival kit/pack?

What item(s) do you carry in your survival kit/pack that you don't typically see listed as a survival kit item?

For me it's probably hand sanitizer. I've had great success using it to start fires and it keeps my hands clean.

I also have a pocket sized version of the US Constitution in my kit.
 
Along your lines, I have a couple of individually wrapped Wet Ones wipes. Great for cleaning hands and they’re flammable. And they pack extremely flat. I need to get some little vials to put some sanitizer in. I bought the gallon jug at Sam’s for $6. I don’t worry so much about the sanitizing part, but it just works well for cleaning hands in general.
 
don't know if it's strange...but I need these things and don't see 'em mentioned a lot....

old pair of eye glasses with clip-on sunglasses, an extra new pair of contacts, and a tiny vial of contact solution - all in a very small hard glasses case.
 
two condoms... one non-lubricated because they're small and carry a lot of water and one lubricated because i believe in not just surviving, but thriving. :)

Copies of my drivers license & current utility bill, $150 in 10's or less, & a pre-paid phone card. Our area has 4 distinct reasons we would need to get out quickly, and the license & utility bill would prove residency to allow us back to our home. The money would allow us to purchase items quickly if the electric grid was off line (no atm's), & the phone card would allow us to make calls to nearby relatives IF we could find a pay phone that was working ("assuming") the cell towers were down.

I have the toothpick from a SAK and one of those mini grappling hooks as well. Also some nail clippers that a sharpened up with ceramics. It's dumb how dull those things come stock.
 
cell phone and a credit card. Best survival tools EVER invented.
 
I have a couple small packages of two part epoxy.

Back in 1983 I broke the pistol grip on my AR while out in the bush, and had no way to fix it. I do now if it happens again or anything else breaks.

Interesting. I have hand sanitizer in my bag as well. I thought it was just me being silly.

Me too! Cheap lil Made in China tape measure that my office gave me.

I have hand sanitizer as well. I didn't mention it because I don't consider it strange.
