What's the toughest thing you have done with your Tuff?

My Tuff is arriving today and I can't wait to put it through its paces, but to be honest it's way overkill for the types of things I do with my folders. My uses are normal urban EDC stuff like breaking down boxes, cutting paper and tape, and occasionally prying open clamshell/blister packs after trips to costco.

I'm sure the Tuff is up to those challenges as well as any Spyderco would be, lol!

But I'm wondering for you more extreme users what types of things you have done to really challenge your Tuff? Post up pics of your extreme Tuff use, especially if you have pics of your Tuff...

taking down a charging Hippo...
Prying open a shipping crate...
Chopping down a redwood...
Cutting the engine mounts off the frame of an old Plymouth...
Splitting cinder blocks, lol!

It actually does chop really well.

I used mine today in the yard with some light chopping.

Sure, there are better tools to use but having something in your pocket when you need it is 9/10 of the battle.

most stupid video ever. sorry.
Yeah, that doesn't really show anything aside from perhaps that the lock up is solid and secure, and it put a ton of unneeded miles on the knife's lock up and hardware.

Pretty stupid to do that with no glove or hand protection. What if the lock slipped? Coul have been some serious finger damage.

I'd imagine there's been at least one Tuff bolted to a mechanical arm that chopped it until it broke.

Sal gets to play with all the good toys. :D

Five bucks says I could saw through that 2X4 with the saw blade on my Wave in half the time it actually took him to beat it to death with his pocketknife. For that matter, I bet I could carve through it faster with a SAK. It seems there are a lot of folks with more money than sense any more, and it takes less money every year.

It actually shows once again that people are completely ablivious to what a folding knife is made for. That was one of the best displays of common sense fail ever. The part where he stabs the knife in the stump and nicks his hand was the cherry.

Yeah...was more sarcasm than anything. That's why I have my BRKT Gunny. Good steel, takes a beating and a lot cheaper. Shows the tuff is tough, I guess. Ha

I think it's funny that these bashing remarks are being made in a "what's the toughest thing you have done with your Tuff thread" when my video is the only actual tough thing being done with the knife in this thread. Oh, and no hand was nicked, so no cherry on top for you. Generally I subscribe to the "use the propper tool for the job, a knife is meant for cutting mentality" but the designer himself has stated the extreeme stiffness of the lockbar and action was a necessary evil to produce A knife of this strength and a lockup that can handle the most brutal of tasks, I was simply putting it to use. If nobody actually uses this thing for anything but opening packages....what's the point? Just carry a para 2. So basically, be refuting my video you are saying the knife's point is null and void, which is a just fine opinion to have, but not the one you are talking about.

I accept your challenge sir. Lets see you go through it faster with a SAK. I have the original video still intact with no cuts. It will be easy to compair times. Or is this just you seizing the oportunity to jump on the band wagon and "make a funny"?
