What's up with Ramanon?

Unfortunately I think Ramanon is gone forever. Looks like Kevin is uninterested in continuing it, he said it was not fun for him anymore in an e-mail to HD this morning. I'm truly saddened by this turn of events. I really enjoyed that place. I hope someone is willing to take on the site, and that Kevin is willing to sell it, hopefully cheap. I'd pitch in. There have been some rival forum politics that I don't understand going on, and I think the average user is the one who is going to suffer the most.

Thats basically all the news I have for now. HD and I are trying to contact the mods we know there.

This is bad news. It saddens me because I really enjoyed Ramanon's Armory and Big Knife Forum.

I would be interested in discussing buying it and maintaining it, but I have no way to contact the owner.

Gone? There are some great folks there...

...but if that Buttosai guy comes HERE, I'm bailing.

You'd be a good choice with your professional knowledge. Its early now, and theres not definite enough news. I'll PM you with his contact 411 though.
 
I don't think I ever posted there, but the photos were worth the trip :)

Man, I wouldn't like to see that forum die. I have a lot of friends there.
 
Me either. I don't know how I'm going to sell my sheaths now. The lack of rules about selling there made it ideal. The political forum there was the best on the net IMHO.
 
I'll let y'all know if I hear anything. Not sure what happened. Only a few days earlier he put on a bunch of new mods and was talking about getting more server space. Might be cool to email him with our support cf@ramanon.com

I will really miss the Armory if it stays down cause that was a gun forum where you didn't seem to quite have the bluster and experts who lord it over everyone else like you do on some of the gun forums.:confused:
 
Andy, I heard of thread killa's, but jeez, they make you a mod and then shut the whole thing down.

Hey, while we're on the subject is there any reason why Bwray has not been unbanned here?

I mean I was unbanned;) Burafan even got a few chances. Maybe the mods know something I don't that he did that was terrible but I'd like to see him back:thumbup:
 
I talked to Bill already. I'd like to see him back as well.

Edited to add that I don't think its the people here keeping him out, HD.

I would have to agree.

In spite of some real doofi (plural of doofus) over there, it's one of the best forums I have ever encountered.

I hope it isn't gone, dangit.
