I like case xx 47 92 and 75 pattern...in other brands I have no idea what compares in size...whats ur favorite one?...and any recommendations for other brands that would compare to my favorite case patterns

Hard to say which is my favorite - it seems to change over time. I used to carry a Case 63032 a lot, alternating with a 6318. I like the blade combo on the 032 but the 18 is more pocket friendly.

On weekends when I am in the mood for a bigger knife I often go with the Case 6375.

I've got a 6347 I carry sometimes (no pics of it) and a smaller 6344 (also no pics).

If you like the larger Stockman patterns, then the Buck 301 is a great option - big sturdy workhorse that carries well for its size.

The smaller Buck 303 is a great knife if you like something a little smaller (no pic of that one either).

If you want to go uptown, the GEC Dixie Stockman is a nice knife. Interesting blades and a slim carry for a full-sized knife.

I also have the Queen 9ACSB which is a great knife (also no pic) at a little lower price point than the GEC.

The Schrade Old Timer Senior 80T is a favorite for me. I like a nice big sheepsfoot on my stockmans. Great carbon steel too.

I will say that I'm quite pleased with the comparatively large sheepsfoot on my Case/Carhartt medium stockman. Very good fit and finish too.

This is one of, if not my most favorite stockman. 66 pattern. Perfect size, 1095, and easy to sharpen.

Also pretty fond of the Case Sowbelly.

And the old Schrade's made in the USA are great as well, and their carbon steel can get crazy sharp.

I prefer round bolsters. Here are a few in different sizes.

I got a new Schrade OT stockman with saw cut bone handles recently. High carbon stainless blades. Looks and feels just like the old OTs. The Colt stag series is nice also as are the natural handled RR stockman.

the stag has aged very nicely on this GEC #81, a perfectly finished knife, no blade rub either.

I like the old schrade 80t and 340t in carbon steel the best, newer production I like canal street stockman. I have a csc in ebony and 440c that is real nice and well made.

Not a lot of experience with the pattern, but I've had a few stockman knives. My preference is for rounded bolsters and 3.5-4 inches closed length. I'm surprisingly happy with a Rough Rider sowbelly stockman I have. I also like a Schrade USA 34OT, except wish it were a little longer.

I have many stockman knives. It's pretty much my favorite pattern, having carried a Buck 303 every day for over a decade in the 70's/80's.

My favorite among them tends to vary.

At the moment this Case CV stockman with punch instead of spey is my fav:

I have two...The Queen in curly zebra is a relatively recent acquisition....the #66 calf roper holds a place in the top 2 most carried. Like gruntmedik said above, the #66 pattern is just awesome!

There are, fortunately, a lot of very decent & diverse Stockman knives. The nature of the pattern invites many interpretations.

I like the small Buck in Yellow Delrin, the Large CASE in Amber Bone, the CASE that sports a Pen instead of a Spey. The Queen Heritage Woodsman for all its shortcomings in finish, The Rough Rider Eureka Stockman, unusual and very well made.

No GEC you say? Well not most of them - no, too bulky and unwieldy in the hand for my taste at least. Except this...

The Dixie Stockman, Northfield or Tidioute: sleek, svelte, low riding blades so no handful of protuberances when you use one, first rate different blade selection.

Doesn't look so bad to my eye either...:D:thumbup:

My favorite is the buck 307. But the one I carry most is case medium stockman. The 307 is a rush - but too big for me most of the time. The case med I've had a lot longer and it's well broke in. It's like your favor pair of boots - you don't think before grabbing putting them on.

Case 6332. Jigged bone 70s stockman with half stops, a rare bird but the best of both worlds IMO. Also has a pen in lieu of the spey.
