What's with all the "Paypal only" sellers?

If I were selling something, I'd consider any form of payment in order to attract the most potential buyers.
But really nothing is easier and more convenient than PayPal whether buying or selling. Sure there are fees but those are offset by the cost of a stamp and envelope, the cost of alternative payment methods (MO or check), the effort and time spent going to the post office and bank, the convenience of having an easily-accessible online record of every transaction, and the protection/security.
 
I've just read a thread of several pages in which someone paid for a custom & waited for 98 weeks without receiving knife. Every other day someone complains that they've paid for something and not received it. The one positive thing I can say about PayPal is that it is set up to protect the buyer. If you don't receive the item or something comes in not as described, they handle it.
