That's pretty funny! I've seen a few of my patients use their old slip-joints to clip off their nails.

I am a college student now, I still carry a Benchmade barrage 580

last summer, and this summer I worked in a machine shop. Had a CKRT m16 then, will keep the benchmade this summer

Locksmith. Super tinkers live in various spots around the shop/mobile, and I try to keep a regular tinker in my pocket with some success. FFG purple delica and a fixed blade or two.

Field Tech for an Engineering firm.

I carry a CS X2 Voyager fully serrated Clip point & A BM 950 Rift. Thinking about switching the 950 out for either another CS, or a BM 9050..

I'm a tool (mechanic's) salesman and I carry a CRKT Ryan Plan B or my orange Izula. Just added a Strider SA to the mix!

Work is a limestone refining plant, which really amounts to cleaning up. Rules prohibit fixed blades, and anything you bring from home has to be less than 3". But it beats the razor knives they "recommend".

I cut some manila and plastic rope, vulcanized rubber, and black plastic drain hose. Add the dust, and most edges go dull in a day.

EDC was a CRKT M1 for several years. Rotated out for my small M16, a S&W folding karambit, my BM mini-grip, and recently, a Folding Razel. I'll carry the Razel until I find something I don't like about it (usually several months), then the search for a new knife begins!

Yeah, it's kinda like dating....

Biology student and I carry a ZT0301, spyderco para 2, and a benchmade 650 spike.

I'm a contractor specializing in residential remodel work. I carry a Tinker in back pocket, Classic on keyring, and either Para2 or Stretch in RFP. The big folder and the Tinker get constant use at work even though I have a truck full of tools. A tool in the hand beats dozens at the curb.

I'm an aerospace materials engineer and I usually work in a cube farm.
Company regulations require that I carry a knife that is no more than 4 1/2" open with a blade no more than 2" long. I usually carry a Case Tiny Wharncliffe Trapper and a Boker Subcom.

In the Retail Food Industry and I typically carry a Spyderco Para 2, Military or CRK Umnumzaan.

sak cadet, farmer, solider; case peanut, texas jack; al mar hawk; and on a rare occasion a spyderco pm. I work in a professional office, and the general edc is the al mar, peanut, cadet, or texas jack..

For professionals that don't really need tools, a simple sak or slippy are fine. I keep a inexpensive petty in my desk drawer for any real culinary task. ymmv

Hello,

I paint ground equipment and recovery equipment for the aerospace industry. My work edc rotation is a Para2, Orange Endura FFG, Gray Delica FFG, and 154cm Manix 2. I cut a lot of masking paper, some days over 200 feet.

Thanks,

Chris

Sous Chef, my two main Chef Knives are a 10 1/4" MAC and a 10" Eberhard Schaff (Golden Hamster). 6 1/2" Mac Santoku. And a old Sabatier paring and boning knife(both carbon steel, no clue what type they are old though bought when I was in Europe). I won't go into my fish knives I don't do much fish at this time.

Not quite what the original poster had in mind I guess, I EDC a spyderco, rat 1, SOG or dozier folder( I like variety) to open or break down boxes for most part.
