So my salts are pretty much my two EDC knives that I put through the ringer. I was curious what yours is? Pics always encouraged :-)

I purchased a persistence to use as a beater/loaner knife. I'm very impressed with it for the money, the fit and finish is excellent compared to similarly priced knives that I've seen.

Although my normal non-work edc are the domino and PM2

I don't carry safe queens.
Sprints, discontinued don't make a difference.

Everyone I carry will get dogged.
Or not carried at all.

I have 4 that I consider to be beaters, or more correctly work knives. First was the 154CM Manix 2. I bought it used and I used it a lot for packing and opening boxes, and cutting up boxes that furniture came in, etc. My next Manix 2 is a Franken knife with M4 blade. It is a serious work knife and is not pristine but it works very well. Since then I've bought the Cruwear version of the Manix 2 and I decided it should become a work knife instead of the M4 version. I have carried it for working but so far it is still nearly new condition. And my last one is the first version Bradley folder. I carried it in my EDC rotation for awhile but decided that since it was invented to be a work knife I should start using it like that.

I don't beat on any of my knives but the knives that I carry when working on the house or whatever might get used to carve wood, cut lots of cardboard boxes, or whatever. My EDC knives are used more for opening packages, cutting strings, cutting food, light duty things like that.

How do you like that serrated Native? I've been into other brands lately but a serrated Native lightweight keeps popping up in my list of next knife to get.

Dragonfly salt. Fishing knife, drywall hacking knife, beach knife. Anything wet really. Used to be a delica and before that some other vg10 blade.

I'm not sure that any of mine would qualify as beaters but if I had to pick just one, it would be my fully serrated Endura. Still, I have no safe queens. The knives either get used or they get sold. End of story.

this native is built on a good platform for a FRN modal,i don't no how the newer version of this knife is with its serrations performs! but mine will cut though just about anything, and doss not need sharpening that often, good thing too because i'm not a big fan of serrations!had mine about 2 1/2 years and ended up as my beater.
