What's your "beater" 2015

That's too pretty to be a beater Ocarr, love the scales. My PM2 keeps sneaking back in my pocket but I'm thinking of (finally) getting a Manix to beat on, I like G10 but would like to try S110v or BD-1....any votes?

Well Cravin, the scale swap was a recent change, but the blade has been a daly-carry for like 2 years now. I've got a desert tan pair of the same grips that I'm just waiting to swap the Hap40 Delica blade into as soon as they release. Then my "beater" will have a brother to share pocket time with. I don't feel the Toxic is too pretty, but the grip upgrade (ergos) is definitely a step up from the FRN, at least for my larger hands.

Two real beaters for me have to by my Emerson CQC 7 Tanto, and Spyderco Delica 4 saber grind. I have been carrying the 7 more lately.

The green is a nice shade, can't really describe the tones and texture, I like how it changes up the shape at the base of the knife also.

This year I divided the beatings between a Manbug, Dragonfly, Delica, Native and Manix, all FRN models.

I've been in an abusive relationship with every one of these, and they've all held up well. The Native and Delica see the most pocket time.

I use all my knives but the 2 that I abuse would be
kershaw blur s30v and
Marbles electricians knife. While I really do like these knives they r the 2 that that I take to work. They tend to grow legs and walk off more than break on me.

Is this in the Spyderco sub forum or general? Lol. Seriously though, what makes that an electricians knife?

This is pretty much what i carry everyday, this thing slices incredibly well! (Thinking about getting a Native5 or Garyle Bradly, would love to hear thoughts from y'all)

The Endura that lives in my work pants. Short of using the knife for things it was not meant for like prying, as a screwdriver, etc I am horrible to this knife. When it gets to gross I leave it in my pocket when I wash my pants then hose it down with WD40. I wait till it gets extremely dull then carelessly run it up and down the sharpmaker, I get sidetracked and leave it outside on my tailgate for days or on the workbench, etc.

It just does not care.

All my knives are users. The only ones that don't see hard use are C42 Vieles, C22 CF Walkers, Phoenix, an etched Cricket and my CF Caly 3.5 hasn't really met any hard use yet. The Salts get what many would call abused, but the sharpen up easily and apart from lots of scratches still perform like new.

Nice go see a Lil Temp out in the wild

Native 5 in full se is going to be my next Spyderco purchase!

I carry and use almost everything I own but 3 stand out for most frequent carry this year.
In order of frequency:
1. Cold Steel Mini Tuff lite (pretty much a constant sheeple friendly companion)
2. Para Military 2
3. Manix 2 XL

Nccole check out knives called tl-29. klein makes them, and at one time they were one of the two most issued G.I. knives. electricians unions used to require liscenced electricians to carry them. btw gec f&f #99 o.d. green linen 1095,kershaw onion/centofante wharncliffe blade , and a pdw griffin fixed in m390-at least the last one has holes in the handle;).
