Ummm i've had a few good pawnshop knife finds. 4 years ago i found a buck 119+spyderco co-pilot for 25$ Canadian total. Also about 10 years ago i found a Coleman-Western Bowie (Carbon steel 9 inchish blade) for 50 $ Canadian, (the Canadian dollar was very low at the time so that would equal to about 35$ U.S). The buck was mint, the spyderco was a little scratched up and dull but fully functional, the western was in near mint condition.
Actually i also found an old tramontina bowie with cracked wobbly faux stag handle for 5 bucks in a curiosity shop. From a collectors POV it may not be worth anything but it was and is a good knife. Its at least 20-30 years old, has a 1/4 inch thick carbon ("carbono") steel blade with a full tang, the overall length is 15 inches with 9 1/4 inch blade. I used it as a throwing knife for years and finally rehandled it last year making it a proper "using" knife.
