What's your favorite Barkie?

I heard there will be a smaller version of the bravo, called the Gunner ( i think), but also a larger version being the Bravo 2. I could be wrong, but both of these would be top sellers.

Bigox,

Got any pics of that golok in action?

Sorry I don't.

I can't say enough about it.

It came absolutely hair popping sharp.

It holds its edge well.

It is wicked on brush and saplings up to around 4" or so.

It will definitely chop bigger than but a axe would be better.

It also works great to split fire wood.

When you use it you want to give it your full attention!

Sicily02,

Here you go. Would have got a better pic but I just walked in from my son's Pinewood Derby! Anyway, feels good in my hand. For perspective, I'm 6'2", 190 and wear a Medium glove.

Englishbob,

Those auroras and nebulas look sweet....

I do not own a Barkie, but ever since seeing a picture of a Rouge, I've been infatuated with it. I really like the new ones out and I will own one in the course of the next couple months. It will only be a choice of handle material, and as much as I like wood, the micarta's Ive seen on several are getting my attention.

Is anyone getting a Baydenoc camp knife when they are released. 9.5" blade will be one hell of a slicer.

Favorite Barkie? It depends on what I'm doing. I love my Mini Canadian as an edc in a square, hip pocket sheath. If I'm in the woods or camping, it's the Northstar.

I'd like to get a Lil Nessy - I think that would be great for preparing food.

I think you may be right. The smaller version is the Gunny or Gunner or something like that.

I would buy the larger version of the Bravo-1 too, as well as the smaller version.

Looking at the pics, you just never see a bad looking barkie. Anybody got an action shot of a golok?

The Gunny will be 2/3 the size of the Bravo 1:)

I did some research and the smaller version of the Bravo-1 is going to be called the Gunny. It'll be about 2/3 the size of the original Bravo-1.

They are also going to be making a stainless version of the Bravo-1.

This thread needs more pics! MORE! MORE!!!!
I need to work some more OT as well, looks like. On second thought, no more pics.

Well, I did a dumb deed before Christmas - ordered what would probably have been an okay 'woods-walker', aka 'bushcraft-lite' knife - for day hikes... a Benchmade 201 'Activator+'. But, the dent in my paid-off MC which hadn't been used for Christmas at all, wasn't bad enough. I ordered a BRK&T Huntsman. It floored me... After Christmas, another store had a great sale - I ordered four more! They are below (L-R): BM Activator, Huntsman, Fox River, Gameskeeper, LE North Star, and T.U.S.K..

Which one do I like the most? That depends on the day... the oldest is <1 month, the youngest ~3 weeks. The Huntsman is in a KSF Pocket Holster alongside a 3/8" firesteel - fits my front pockets - perfect for hikes. The Gameskeeper is a near perfect handful - but that LE NS isn't far behind. The FR would be a great one of it's own accord. The T.U.S.K.. has already found it's niche here - wood carving! I suppose the Huntsman is my favorite, even though it's grip is the smallest. While certainly not uncomfortable, it isn't AS comfortable as the others. It's size - and ability - make it quite universal. If they were all to go away, save one - I'd keep the Gameskeeper - it fits that well. Of course, earlier in the week, I'd have said the LE NS. Sunday, probably that T.U.S.K.!

Of course, yesterday afternoon - when I opened that MC bill - and saw just what five BRK&T knives and one fb BM cost, I wasn't so fond of any of them!

my most used is my Black Water boot knife gets a good work out in the kitchen every day.
My most carried is one of the Mikro Canadians on ball chain as a neck knife and probably the most fondled is my Fox River:D:D

Just took a couple of pics. The red handled PSK is my girlfriends, she insisted it be in the photo.
