My favorite Barkie's are my three Aurora's. Completely amazing knives. Sharp as razors.
Light weight compared to many of my other knives of same length. Fantastic ergonomics.

I do also love my Nebula's and Kephart's.

But my collection seems to keep growing. The Bay de Noc looks awesome.

Take the threads out of the paracord thewn wrap the handle. Give more thickness but not as much as the regular.

Why didn't I think of that? Thanks!

What's that top barkie in your bottom pic above me there? I like the size and shape.

Thanks Liam. The top knife is a Barkie ELK (Essential Little Knife)
It is a very handy little blade

Spooky:

I have a Kephart & it's easily one of the sharpest Barkies I own.
The handle is comfortable to me as far as size & shape & the blade is as well.

The 12C27 steel has held up very well so far & sharpens up quickly using the Bark River compounds & a leather strop. I really like that stuff!

Comes with a heavy leather pouch type sheath with a firesteel loop. The sheath looks like the same one that comes with the Nebula.

Overall I'm very happy with both the knife & the sheath.
Here are some pics of it:

That looks incredibly functional. I have a feeling that handle is suprisingly comfortable, too.

Never had a Bark River. I don't use fixed blades much anymore. The two left from the 11 that I have already sold suffice, but I like the looks of this one.

Thanks Cliff! I appreciate the info and pics. That looks like a great user, very comfortable. That blade shape is just imminently practical. Does the handle fill the hand well?

I've been looking at ML knives Kephart model, and think I may lean that way... too many blades!!

The handle is very comfortable (even though it might not look like it would be).
Here's a pic that I just took along with a Nebula & a Bravo 1 for comparison.

trldad, Can you tell me what you use to fasten those 2 sheathes together,piggy-back style, is it some stud fastening?

I have a No. of Bark Rivers: 2 Nebula-Antique Ivory/Green Linen, Woodland , Blackwater Bootknife,Mini Northstar, Colonial Patch, Mikro Slither, 2 Classic Lite Hunters-Nat canvas/Maple Burl-never warmed to the latter may sell it;)

Favourites? At the moment the Mini Northstar in Antique ivory and the Classic Lite Hunter in Natural, this HAS a guard and makes the slippery micarta factor void, thankfully:D The Mikro Slither is a surprising small knife, REALLY USEFUL:thumbup: Was disappointed by scale defects on it though. I like the look of a big knife but in reality find them a nuisance, my users tend to be compact knives.

We need a BRKT forum clearly:thumbup:

I don't know what trldad used, but I just use some 6-32 screws and nuts.

That "other" knife forum has a huge Bark River forum with the man himself Mike Stewert.

Thanks Varg L!

Is that in metric sizes like we use in the EU or inches??

Yes, I know about 'the other' but it's sometimes a bit content-lite in my view, good in places though.
