If you had to choose only one Becker to keep, which one would you choose?
Mine favorite is hands down the bk2, it was my first Becker, and it's the one knife that's always with me. I keep one in my truck and the other in my back pack or suitcase when flying. It's the one knife I can without a doubt rely on if god forbid I found myself in a bad situation.
Some complain that it isn't a good choice for a knife or that it doesn't do any particular task well...I have to disagree with that, it's a great chopper for it's size, I haven't found another knife in its class that'll chop half as good. It's perfect for batoning and acts like a wedge, also with the thickness of the blade there's no concern about breaking it. You just gotta be reasonable in what you plan on batoning with it. Then it's more than capable of doing finer tasks, and by simply convexing the edge it glides thru material with ease. All these things together is what makes this the best all around Becker for me.
