What's your favorite GEC?

I'd have a hard time picking a favorite. It would be a tie between these three.

I don't have a favorite cover but the knife would be a #48 Jack. Here's a pic of my users. Runners up would be the #33 but I need to take an updated pic of those. Love the tortoise Will :)

I have a few 85s, my favourite is the Harness jack but I love the acrylics on the 85 as well. I Love the 15s, the Pemberton, the two blade congress But this is my everyday carry. A wonderful slim working knife.

Best regards

Robin

I really enjoy the 33. Has all the blade you need in a tiny, pocketable package.

As of this moment the 2013 forum knife the Congress Jack in white micarta and the 2012 Trapper made for the BFC traditional forum too.

Tough to answer, but the two patterns I tend to gravitate to most are either a #15 Boy's/Charlow pattern:

Or a trapper:

But heck, I'm a sucker for a nice swayback too:

I really liked the size and feel of this two bladed Montana Workhorse in ivory scales, very sleek and sharp, it's one I do miss a lot too;

That is an easy question to answer. My single blade model 73 with ebony covers. It actually my favorite knife, period!

That's a tough one for me as I have liked everyone of them that I have owned. Picking from the ones that I still have I guess my first is my favorite. #56 jack in Frontier Bone, honorably mention goes to my #66 Calf Roper and my #72 lockback.

Thanks! The bolsters actually do have a patina, not nearly as much as the blade but they have definitely darkened up quite a bit.
Interesting. I'd always assumed the purpose of using nickel-silver for bolsters was that they couldn't corrode or discolor, but it appears that may not be entirely correct.

I could be wrong but I think the Charlow bolsters are steel. I think brass liner knives use nickel silver and steel liner knives use steel bolsters.
