whats your favorite hat??

Tilley in the summer

Cheapo polyester with an insulated layer watch cap in the winter.

Had a BMW brand (like you get at the dealership...) watch cap that was the best ever, but lost it somewhere.

If you layer with, or just wear one of those (hoodies, hooded sweat shirt, bunny hug), whatever they call them were you live, you ALWAYS have an attached hat that you can flip off in an instant. I like hooded sweat shirts as they cover your neck and ears in a cold breeze. A touque with a hoody hat pulled on has kept me warm at -30 temps. Kind of a two in one garment.

A 5X Stetson that I've had for twenty plus years, wool baseball cap, Gore-TeX boonie, fleece watch cap, for when it gets cold.

Broner khaki boonie-style.

Had one, lost it, found them at a dealer, and bought 2 more.

Winter I like hooded Gortex coats, Columbia with the vents under the arms. When I get over heated down comes the hood and the arms are unzipped. Works out good when your walking. In the summer its an old Gortex baseball style hat I got from the Stren fishing line company. Anyone know where a had like this can be found? Been wearing this one since the early '90s and its getting really ragged.

In all seasons i wear the canadian bush cap, the fisherman type hat has ear covers inside that can be fliped up in cold weather or filped in the summer:)

Tilley T-3 in the summer, wool toque in the winter under a hood, Thinsulate toque for sleeping out in sub-zero temps.

I'm a baseball cap kind of guy.

But I always pack a ski cap for warmth.

In the summer, I'm usually wearing one of my Tilley's or a favorite straw. In the fall and winter around the ranch, a favorite Beaver Brand cowboy hat, or a custom made fur "Longhunter" by Clearwater Hat Company.

black wool felt, flat brimmed, montana peak hat. like the old drill sargeants hat but black. with an indian design headband.

Hmmmm - - that all depends on what I'm doing and on the weather. (Hat choice is a serious matter ! :D ) I like my Stetson Outdoorsman - kinda 'cowboy' style with a wide brim that's nice on those hot, sunny days. Got a chin strap for that one that I can drop down and cinch if the wind picks up. Also got another Stetson - fedora style - with a cut down brim. That works great for bowhunting and wingshooting - doesn't interfere with mounting the bow or gun and doesn't obstruct your view. -For cold weather its often a wool or fleece stocking cap. If really cold I like a Mad Dog 'bomber' hat - - looks like Elmer Fudd when I wear it, but you can tie down the rabbit fur lined ear flaps and that baby is nice and warm. - - More than half the time when wearing a hat, its a baseball type cap. Got one I picked up in Montana from a little fly fishing shop. Its beat up and sun faded from years of use - - a really ugly looking hat now - - but its my Lucky Hat - - and one of my favorites !
