What's your favorite traditional fixed blade knife...

It’s a size reference knife that happened to be on photo that I pulled out of the library. Next time I will black it out with the Apple Pencil.
I don't see a thumbstud or hole or a pocket clip on it.
I was going to post my borderline Utica survival knife, but maybe not.

Ask me which is my favourite kid why don't you...

These two were gifts including the custom handle work on the Chen. The Patriot was a present from good friends when I was going through a tough time. As such I nominate this pair.

This one is special to me as I designed it myself and @nighthaxen built it for me.

He often pushes the envelope on what's "traditional".
Most of my envelope pushing is a result of being in hurry and not reading the fine print. It’s not malicious. Also the boundaries are some times fuzzy. If I post a SAK with the pocket clip on the underside, it is fine. If I take the removable thumb stud off of a Buck 110, it is fine.
I like to think that the tent is large enough to accommodate an occasional traditional knife with space age materials like powdered metals and newer techniques like MIM (Molded In Metal) castings.
I carried traditional knives as a kid, and they were always rusty. Now I look for traditional knives in Stainless Steel, but some traditionalists like to drag an oily rag around to try to keep up with the vicissitudes of environmental attacks on 1095 Steel. Whatever floats your boat.

Good.
Carry what you like.
I also carry knives that I can't/don't post here.
So are SS knives non-traditional? How about a Stellite blade? It’s been around since 1912. Do Titanium parts kick a knife out of the traditional category. I have some Swedish Barrel Knives with locking blades that were patented in the 1800’s. Traditional? Is defining Traditional like defining Porn? I know it when I see it.
If an old design is executed in modern materials, is it still traditional?

I am not a master baiter. Clarification is always appreciated, but not required. Going forward, I wouldn’t mind avoiding all the butt hurt that occurs when I mess up and post a questionable knife (sometimes not so questionable).

Modern materials do NOT disqualify a knife being traditional, but just because a knife is a slipjoint, or doesn't have a thumb stud, doesn't make it a traditional, either. Tiguy7, your folder shown above has no resemblance, either the frame or blade shape, to any traditional knife I'm aware of, and because of that, would almost universally be considered non-traditional. Nice knife, but your photo would be more appropriately placed in the "Traditional and Modern Pairings" thread.
