What's your favorite US-made Spyderco?

Police Model! Oh wait that's Seki. Why does it have to be US? Spyderco isn't originally US?

The PM2 is to small!

I have a strong preference for Spyderco midlocks with 50/50 choils, regardless of where they're made. Since the FRN C41 Native Lightweight and the Native 5 are the only two midlocks Spyderco has manufactured in the USA this century, they're my favorite US made Spydercos by default. This Native 5, customized for me by Gull Wing with Mexican Ebony scales, is about the only one that ever sees pocket time...

Get the PM2 and you will not regret it. I sold mine not long ago to a friend so I could fund a commemorative knife and now I have to get another one. You won't regret it.

The Para 2 is one of the best knives ever made. I sold mine because now I have this lame pencil pusher, desk jockey job and felt bad not taking it on adventures... Seriously though, fantastic knife.

Deacon - that is a really sweet knife. Wow. LOVE those ebony scales - I'm a big fan of new-school knife tech with old-school looks. Wood is a favorite and I agree that the midlock with 50/50 choils is a winner for usability/reliability. All this is why I have the Sage 4. It's also an awesome knife, but a bit heavy and bulky for EDC. That's OK, I enjoy just fondling it :-) Yours is a great EDC while still keeping that mix of new tech with a nod to classic looks/materials. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, thanks everybody for your input. Lots of great suggestions but the PM2 seems to be coming out on top and after researching all your suggestions and watching youtube reviews, I agree that the PM2 should be the next one. I found my favorite one in stock for a fair price (digicam G10 with black DLC - C81GPCMOBK2), and order placed.

I think the Manix 2 is next on my list. I have more questions about that knife that I'll post in a different thread.

Thanks again! I'm a new BF member and can already see that this is a great sub-forum with a lot of helpful members.

You telling me you don't have a Military

:p

A must have for any knife nut IMO.

Native5 is my favorite Spyderco not only out Golden made models, but out of any Spydercos or any other brands. It is fairly small in the pocket with fantastic ergos and very capable blade. I EDC it for couple years and absolutely love it. Regular production G10 is great, but at this moment you can find sprint CF/S110V as well at reasonable price. Also it looks like prices on the secondary market at this moment for 2013 Forum knife (S110V/ dark green diamond pattern g10 went down a little.
