what's your favorite??

Hey I like the handle scales on your BK-11! Looks good.

These are what I'm using lately, BK-11, Izula, and Bravo neckers....

Though I like them all, the BR Bravo is definately my favorite. To me it's the most comfortable, it's stainless, has the best blade/edge geometry, it realy takes and holds an edge well, I like that the sheath will hold a firesteel and handle scales, and I like that it comes with a nice pollished blade. -though as you can see ^ I sanded and pollished up the blade of my Izula too. :)

The Bravo's a great looking knife but to pay that kind of price for 12C27 seems assinine to me. I personally do not wear a knife around my neck. I move too fast, the knife bounces and gets tangled and twisted and caught on just about everything, and eventually something snags it hard enough to rip it off. That said, I always have some sort of small fixed blade for EDC and when backpacking/bushcrafting wear one on my belt for an on-the-go cutter. For this purpose I have a RC-3, a HEST, a BK11, a TOPS Strykar and my new toy, the Buck Paklite Skinner. For 14 dollars you sure can't beat it, USA made 420HC steel and the knife is super clean and ergo. I like the blade too, at first the recurve seemed pretty rediculous on such a small blade but cutting performance is superb. I'll be buying more of these in the future as this one gets beat up.

So far I like the size and weight of the Izula better than others I've tried...but I haven't tried that many neck knives. The only problem with the Izula is a don't care much for the factory sheath...too thick and bulky for my tastes for a neck knife...and I had the custom sheath made too tight to serve as a neck knife. I think I'm gonna get another Izula and gear it to being a neck knife. That Dogfish looks pretty good too though.

I'm not a big fan of having a lot of weight hanging from my neck. Its a comfort thing more than anything else.

The only production necker I own and like enough to keep is the Krein Dogfish by CRKT. Its small, light, takes a great edge easily and was priced right at $15 (on sale at a shop in Statesboro, GA).

It's not a hard use brute but makes for a good canoe/kayak/fishing necker.

What does the sheath look like? Got any good size comparison pics?

I prefer the Izula to all other production neckers. The collab knife might be it after I get a hold of it, but I think the Izula is perfect as is.

I'll throw in another vote for the Izula. For how small it is, it's unbelievably comfortable in my large hands. And it carries like it's not there.

I don't know if it counts as production (or a neck knife ;) ) or not, but I really like the Blind Horse Patch Knife.

If a necker is the only knife I carry it's a Swamp Warden. If I'm carrying a fixed blade on my belt it would be a Woods Walker.

So . . . the Izula apparently fits in a KSF pocket sheath. That makes me want one even more!

My only necker is a Landi PSK in orange G-10, although I rarely wear it as a necker.

How/what did you use for the jimping on the BK11?/ Looks awesome!

Thanks! -I bought a set of small files from Lows, both regular and then diamond after the first set wore out. Been using them for little custom jimping/file work stuff and they seem to work OK. :)

I've got the izula, becker necker, but my favorite right now is the small tiger knapp from Blindhorse knives, I've had it over a year, I carry it to work and the leather sheath that it come with is great, and you can't beat the price!!!!!

do they not sell the tiger knapp wharne anymore?!?!?!? I'm going to blow a gasket if they don't... I've been waiting forever for them to come in stock, I'd say the past 3 months...

My Izula got the most carry, that is before I inadvertantly walked through airport security with it still in my jacket pocket. Damn, I went through the whole remove sharps from my bag drill and forget to check the chest pocket. Airport guy wasn't too pleased. At least he let me keep the KSF leather sheath for it! My wife still has her pink izula.

I'm using my Jimmi Wade necker more now. I like that thing and keep it in a Clovis leather sheath from KSF.
