whats your grail knife ?

I have a few grails......

Stan Wilson flipper non-flipper
Small seb 21 with cf inlays (most likely the only one from this list that I will ever get)
Ressanti SNAFU
Shirogorov custom division hati

My grail knife is a Fiddleback Forge Bushcrafter Sr. with African blackwood scales, over natural micarta with an orange pinstripe. Someday........

I would love to get a Lambert. I'm finding difficult to make the jump to buy a $500+ knife. The most I have ever spent was 200 or so on a Microtech...

I just got one of my grails yesterday.
My Small Sebenza 21. Ive wanted it for years, and finally could afford it.
My next grail is a Hinderer XM-18 with a brown or orange scale, Spanto, with "R.Hinderer" on the blade.

Orange Shirogorov is the one knife I hope to acquire one day.

But right now, Hinderer Slicer 3.5" Orange.

My #1 most wanted knife is an Emerson NASA. This is a true "grail" in the sense that I will probably always want it, but never have it. Not very many were made (I don't know the exact number, but my guess is between a handful to a few dozen).

There's nothing special about this knife in any practical sense. In fact, with the cutout in the forward tanto portion, it's probably less than practical for general purposes. But...it was commissioned by NASA...they've been in space...so it's got both the cool factor and the rarity factor going for it. And I'm an Emerson fan anyway. So yeah, this is my grail.

I can't find any completed listings on eBay and I can only find one story (by a quick google search anyway) of a civilian possessing one. My guess is that if one ever comes up for sale, it will go for thousands of dollars.

While I would never spend the money on high dollar knives anymore these are my top five if the frosty day in hell ever arrived and I won the lottery.

1. Sinkevich poluchetkiy flipper

2. Sinkevich koordinal

3. baliballistic balisong

4. Marfione titanium handled hand ground combat troodon with red damascus blade

5. Jeff harkins custom triton

I recently received two of my grails, a Brous T4 and a benchmade 940 and love them both! My current Grail knives are; Anything by cris Martin at phantom steel works, a Turpin flash, anything by Will Moon (genius) a Southard Avo, gavko small flipper, annnnd a Brous caliber, all awesome makers.

Either a Todd Begg Bodega, or an MSC SJ75 Full Stealth. If I got either of those, I really do think I would stop buying knives. At least for a long time.

This one is not mine, but a hot hammered Rexford would be on my grail list.

(Until then, I'll go with my ZT 0801 flavors)

improvements i'd ask of the spyderco ti-millie (the smooth one, not fluted) would be a slightly thicker blade, especially at the tip, and a mirror-polished blade. s30v suits me just fine.

for slip-joints, a 50s-60s mint condition case xx 6231 with jigged bone scales and chrome-vanadium blades.

Isn't that something developed for divers to use against sharks or other dangerous predators?

My grail knife is the Emerson Custom CQC-45. Took forever to have the funds AND opportunity to purchase one. I was having difficulty bringing myself to use it till I needed to sharpen a pencil for my niece. Sharpening her pencils put more scratches on the blade than anything I have used the knife for so far (just basic utility use). Since then I have refinished the titanium to have a scotchbrite finish versus the blasted.

Yeah it's some kind of divers knife. I'd rather have this. Used to be a persian.
