whats your grail knife ?

I am not actively seeking any "Grail" knives at the moment, but I'm always keeping an eye out for something interesting.

For now, I'm happy with my latest find. I stumbled across a good deal on this Crawford Falcon last week, and it checked a lot of boxes for me, so I grabbed it.

Pat and Wes Crawford are not the current hot custom maker of the week, but if this Falcon is any indication, their quality is second to none.

This is my first full handmade custom, and I'm lovin'it.

I've wanted a PM2 for such a long time, but I'm not really sure I'd call that a "Grail". For me, grails are as follows:
-ANY Strider folder (production or custom)
-Benchmade 940
-CRK Mnadi
-ZT 560 (so sad that they're going out of production)
 
Having owned a variety of high end production/custom knives (though I haven't broken the $700 mark yet), I'd say that that a grail for me - in the strictest sense - would be the prototype of the ZT 0454 made by Dmitry Sinkevich.

Almost everything else I've wanted is just a matter of money and a bit of patience, but I don't think I'd ever see that thing coming up for sale in any reasonable amount of time.

I'm a Sinkevich fan as well. For me, I guess I've seen Grails as being nearly unattainable... which would definitely still apply to Sinkevich's Timascus 'Coordinal' version of the Cardinator.

Besides a couple of users they are the only two knives i have left in my collection
 
"grail knife" is such an interesting term. For me if money and time wasnt a problem it would probably be a Todd Begg custom.

On the more realistic side I really want a Box Elder Mnandi. Just slightly out of reach at the moment but hopefully soon :)

Grail as in best knife I think I own, although I've promised myself I'll use it.

Swapped sheaths and sheath inserts with a 5.5 Green Beret.
 
As for the knives I fantasize about, this bowie by Rick Marchand would be my "grail".

One of mine is also sinkevich cardinator coordinal. Also a shirogorov f3 and lionsteel ti-spine.
 
Cold Steel Voyager X2 in Plain edge and VG-1. Been six months searching the web, the bay and everywhere to find one. But I just can't. :grumpy:
 
Halo 5 Splash oh goodness do I want one! Red and grey pattern is the one too! Problem is finding it, so few were ever made plus I probably couldn't buy it once I found it but one can dream. :)
 
Mine is nothing rare, super expensive (for most) or fancy, just a Buck 103 Skinner.
Or a Condor Kephart, or a Condor Nessmuk.
