whats your grail knife ?

Mine was the ZT 0777 composite, now I have one. Now I'm onto other grails; Spyderco Kris currently. I'm never satisfied. Funny how that works.

Mine would be a lefty Rexford somewhere along the lines of his G6 Cesium.
To me, that's a true grail. Something I will always be searching, and hoping for, but never likely to achieve.

I just acquired my Grail knife last Wednesday, I guess I'll have to start searching for a new one ha ha!

Darrel Ralph "one year" AXD

This one is not mine, but a hot hammered Rexford would be on my grail list.

(Until then, I'll go with my ZT 0801 flavors)

 I just fell in lust!

I won't buy a knife I won't use. My next "grail" knives are a BM 710 with micarta scales and a BM 550 with Wilkens titanium scales. That would really make my day. I've got the cash, just waiting for the right deal to come along.
My most expensive knife to date was a Zaan, but it just didn't do it for me. I love the Axis lock and Benchmade has alot of knives I'm interested in.

Probably the m390 Paramilitary 2.
I haven't got my hands on one just yet...

Just throw it in your pocket! At least carry it! (Unless you bought it for "investment purposes")

If you want to carry it, but not use it, carry a beater and cut everything with that instead of your precious. Plenty of folks around here tend to do that.

Me personally - I see no need, nor desire to own a knife I won't use. The ones I don't use get traded off or sold.

My advice is to carry it and enjoy it! Use it as it was intended. Knives don't lose value, they gain character.

My thoughts exactly. I almost started down the road of not using expensive knives. Then I said I'm gonna buy a sebby and use it. Once I did that it was all over. Now there is nothing I won't use. I don't abuse my knives so the worst that happens to them is they get dull, scratched on the handles, and dirty. Big deal. You're gonna get so much more enjoyment out of its use then you will out of its pristine form. If 10 years from now you look at it and feel depressed it's not brand new then you buy another.

There are so many knives that I really like and have on a wish list, but being a lefty, I am limited to the manufacturers that either make a lefty version, or accommodate with multiple clip options. Benchmade, some spyderco, ZT and of course Chris Reeve.

That said, I've gotten my hands on. Most of the production folders from these manufacturers that interest me. One "grail" knife that I am currently looking for is a Reeve Lefty Tanto Sebenza.

I got a bunch of grails last year: Frank Fischer, Todd Fischer, RJ Martin, Direware, Jake Hoback to name a few.

But this year is going to be insane, I either paid or am getting the following grails in the next year: Frank Fischer new model, Stan Wilson damascus NFF, Todd Rexford Cesium, Brad Southard DAWS., custom Shirogorov damascus division, and a bunch of other customs that are close to Grail level.

You suck!! :)

Here I thought I was doing good to get my El patron 3v flipper.

Wow Pittknife... I don't know what any of those knives are, but that is a gorgeous collection... amazing knives...

Gareth Bull Shamwari/Warlock. Been waiting over 18 months. Not sure if it will ever come, but it's the only one I can't pass up. The time may be soon, but it's hard to tell with this particular maker.

I am of in the process of rebuild my Collection and at the moment my Grail is a DDR Full Damascus Custom Gunhammer with Radial Blade.
Got a Beggatti with Satin blade soon to have and trying to get funds together for a Custom Combat Troodon with Mirror blade. Everything else is in 2nd Place to me.

My two SOGs that I got this year are pretty much valuable to me, maybe not as monetary value but as a knives I've always wanted to have and hold to it...
