What's your last knife purchase of the year (2023) ?

I think my last purchase was a drop point Ember 3.0 from REK which completed the pair...both sheepfoot and drop point in MagnaCut. Great little fixed blades for pocket or neck carry...from a maker one can feel good about supporting.

Otherwise, it was a large CRK Inkosi, (Insingo), also in MagnaCut.

Amen on REK. Carrying my 3.0 wharncliffe today, I have all four Ember's and the 3's are really the perfect marriage of the model.

Here’s my last fixed blade purchases this year🤗. Got lucky on the Dek, had the Paul Long sheath but nothing to put in it, thanks to to help found a Magnacut with tri-colored scales. Purchases are better with all the extras, Bill, Coleman and Paul complete my world😉1703267418768.jpeg

Unfortunately you couldn’t be more right….. unfortunately lol 😂 😢 .

Thought for sure I would have been strong enough to make it through the end of the year, but had to log in just at the wrong/right time haha 😂. Had been resisting probably 1/2 dozen others the last few weeks and this one grabbed me in the no no zone 😮

Won’t receive till probably mid January. I’m thinking the allure to me is has a distant DEK 3 resemblance, and knowing I’ll never get my hands on one (at least one that I’m willing to pay an arm and a leg for). Here’s the Bandit from menem menem

Dang! That's sweet! I've been eyeballing his work for awhile now, waiting for the right one. That one would definitely fall in the "right one" category. Do see the DEK 3 distant cousin vibes. Do you have other knives from him? Any recommendations?

Yeah, kinda like distant kissing cousins lol, J/K.

This will be my first from him. I’ve drooled over many. I really liked one he posted up a few knives ago, think it was a fighter, definitely a bigger knife like most of his. ferider ferider semi recently picked up a beauty from him. I don’t have any 1st hand experience yet.

Here is a link with pictures that ferider ferider wrote up with a couple of his knives in comparison to some CPKs. menem menem does some beautiful work and his sheaths look pretty awesome too.
