A milk crate collection can house a lot of junk. I have many such, but certainly not full of knives!!
Seems a shame to toss a bunch of SAAs in one!!
A while back I posted a Walden redbone trapper. A purveyor friend from Texas just sent me its kin, a redbone Serpentine Jack! Here they are together;

Mike you collect milk crates?:p:D

:D No, no milk crates Steven. They take up to much space..
Now you got me thinking though, because I use to like to pick up old glass milk bottles. I think mine are still boxed up from when we moved over three years ago. Guess I'll have to dig them out

I'll never forget when I saw the milk crates with the Colt SAA's. I'm sure my eyes about popped out of my head. Not so sure I didn't start drooling too...

Your red bone addition makes a great pair Charlie

Same frame as 834. 3 5/16" Closed. No number on back of the master blade. Anyone have one like this? Handles are Delrin. It appears to have been unsharpened, lightly unused, and stored in a damp dungeon.

Very cool Hal. I have no idea what that is other than it's likely patterned after the old 8853. I haven't seen it in any SW cats, although there is an 838 in the last page of the 1954 catalog, but no sign of a picture, and no mention of it afterward either. Could it be a holdover that they were trying to use up the punch blades on before discontinuing the pattern?

Being Delrin, I don't think it is that old to be a carryover from a Cut Co. It is just one of those Schrade knives that pop up every now and then. Another one like it will surface, some day. As a side note, it has a longer, sharper punch than both of my 899's. If someone has an 899 that is Schrade Walden, I'd like to compare sizes of the punch and spey blades.

I'll dig out my Walden 899s Hal, maybe on the weekend.

This little whittler has been offered to me. It appears to be an 8793 1/8B, from p. 106, 1938 E Catalog. 3 1/4" long.
I think the blades are down a good 10% or more, but would like to compare them, if anyone has another. You don't see this one often, so I don't want to reject it out of hand, but it's kinda pricey.
Please post a pic if you have one. This may be my "latest Schrade" :D !

Charlie - That's a dandy, looks like maybe the one pen is down for sure. The master looks full to me. I've admired that one in the E Catalog a few times. Love that bone color.

Beta464 - That little Imperial Jack is a nice little knife isn't it? Nice fat handles, and likely a sharp one too. I like to call those "tree bark" handles.

Thought you might enjoy seeing this brochure from 1965. If you keep an eye on Ebay, you'll see these once in a while. I'm pretty sure yours is one of the "55" series knives. 3 1/4" closed. You can find many Schrade, Ulster, and Imperials in this size, and most are over 30 years old. Perfect pocket knives to carry.

It is indeed sharp I love it I appreciate all Schrades

Charlie,
Can't help you out on that one either, although I think you're right about the blades. It's definitely not one you see often, but some folks take that concept a bit too far when they come up with a price. I'm sure it's mighty tempting!;):D

Beta, nice trio you've got there:thumbup:

Here you go Beta464 Buckaroo now your 15 you can look back at what you missed from the 60's . Wish I had one of these to strap onto Evil Knevel as he jumped over the sand pit on fire with my air rifle clearing the soldiers off the track ahead of him . Does your camera come off the computer ? If so you can just hold it to take a photo birthday boy .
