What's your LoadOut?

The Esee 5 Kydex sheath is amazing, add the 5/6 molle back and your set to go....

Guys, I think this thread was more about pics and lists of gear and whatnot as opposed to general discussion. Just a thought.

Hey you don't tell me what threads I can and cannot hijack.....jk sorry OP. Speaking of loadout tho, I've been wondering if taking the large chopping blade out of the equation for say a GB wildlife hatchet might be a good idea. Anyone pack a good hatchet for chopping instead of a bk9 or similar? Is the extra weight worth it?

ok so here is my loadout with my new maxped fatboy edc pack. no blades in the pics but those vary. im thinking of keeping a bk2 in the fatboy, because i love that knife and it will give me a somewhat discreet carry option to keep her with me. So anyway, you see anything missing? Flexx is sending me some water treatment tabs, but what else is not here that would be a good idea? oh and the ramen isnt pictured either....

True dat Clich.

Now modify that damn fatboy and post some more pics.

Milspec Monkey has some pretty cool patches.....check them out

Well I for one see a problem with all these BOB's and whatnots....they all look brand spanking new (so does mine) we need someone (coughmoose) to challenge us to a weekend of puting them to work.....yea we can do it on our own, but I know for a fact my wife will not give me a knife for going camping...hell yes, knife no. So that leaves (cough)moose or (coughethancough). :)

Mine is a few years old bro, its been dunked while fishing, dragged threw the Utah desert and climbed up the rockys.....but I take really good care of my gear :D

I don't know flexxx, I just checked out your pics and your gear is looking rather pristine, but if you don't think you need a few more scratches here and there...... ;)

See, the problem I have is that my Maxped stuff is so tough that even when it gets dirty, the dirt just wipes right off. I fell last year and slid down a sandy/muddy hill, and the entire side of my bag looked like Dubz (The Warrior, a giant of a man) had used it to wipe with. About an hour later, after it dried, all the dirt just started falling off, and when I got home, a quick swipe with a damp rag got the rest off. Now inside it looks a little dirty cause it is filled with pine needles and dead leaves. Not sure how, but they always work their way in there. And Moose just did give us a contest like this!

Clich, what is in that red case on the left there?

Full first aid kit for my backpack, while I have just a small emergency setup in the fatboy

I just like getting out in the woods, and the chance to win cool stuff while doing it makes it all that much better....silly me ;)

The Esee Izula II, Esee 5 and the camelbak Linchpin are new this summer.
Shit I just got the Esee 5 last week, not my first Esee 5 but a new one......

I make a joke and include myself, and a couple of you guys sound like your kinda offended. Sorry but all your gear looks brand new and I thought it was funny.

Not offended at all good sir. I was actually amazed that my pack came as clean as it did after it decided to go mudding and take me with it.

Does anyone else have any pictures to put up? I am always looking for ideas, and with my pack pretty much disassembled while I work on redoing it, now is the time for em.

Anyone own the maxped monsoon gearslinger? Got pics? Do you like it? Is it worth $115? My vulture is great but big on day trips no requiring a full camping loadout.

Aye, that is what I use exclusively. Here is a terrible pic of it with the stuff from the August challenge in or around it:

I love the Monsoon, and have never had any trouble with it loaded up to well in excess of 30+ lbs. A lot of people tell me I will have problems with just the one strap, but I never have. I had a similar bag in college though that carried at least double that weight in books, and I loved it too. It is a good sized pack, and big enough to hold almost everything I need. Adding a 10x4 bottle carrier would give me just enough room I think to make it really be finished up right.

Oh derek add a vicegrip pliers to your load. They come in handy

I got two multitools already, and plan on adding handles to the billy can so I won't need pliers to move it.
