What's your most useful knife?

Is that an Alox Pioneer? I'd like to add one of those one day.

My Mora Companion gets used pretty often, too. It's just not as frequently on me as my SAK.

Hotshot, that's an Electrician. I think the difference is the wire stripper blade instead of the can opener/small flat blade combo tool.

Also thanks to @Henry Beige for prompt and delicious knife photos.

These two get used every day multiple times:

These Kitchen knives generally see the most use:

(and yes, of course I'm not counting my kitchen knives).

Why not? Don't you use them every single day? Aren't your kitchen knives your most oft used knives? Don't you get more utility out of your kitchen knives simply feeding yourself than any other knife you carry in your pocket for random daily events?

My vic hiker of course..tons of hours on work duty, lunchtime, little repairs, improvised little toys projects for my son on free time vacations etc....lately my winchester burlwood stockman had alot work to do on whittling with the scary sharp reprofiled sheep foot blade make the job done easier :)

Very nice. That's a great size for a SAK.

Man, it sure seems a whole lot of these knives that people find useful a) fold b) don't lock and c) cost under $100 bucks. It's almost like most of us don't really NEED unobtanium steels and quadruple strong locks in our everyday lives...

I have to admit that I was wondering about this when I created the thread. On the other hand, I have a ZT 0562 CF in 20CV sitting in my front right pocket as we speak, so there is that. :D

I'm glad to see the humble SAK Hiker getting some love on this thread. I used it to tighten a screw today and cut some tape on a package.

The knife I have on me. Yeah, I know.

For basic use, where I am and when I need it, that's what it is. That's why so much goes into choosing the right knife to have on you for wherever you are and what you might need.

Around the house, things are different. I've got plenty of choices but I usually grab what's quick and handy. Right now, that would be the Mora Companion in my desk drawer. Otherwise, it's often the Civivi Naja or Bestech Spike from atop the dresser where my EDC rotation lives.
