What's your newest Buck knife

I had a 301 71 release for a long time (thanks 300Bucks for old posts with dating!). I gave it to a friend (last photo), he keeps it in a cute box with another knife from his childhood. A couple of days ago I wanted to try the stockman pattern again and I started looking and found the last Buck 301, 2019, at a local store. I wonder if the ones that come with the "for sale outside the US" sticker get larger assembly tolerances or is that just a mark for the assemblers at the factory to ship these boxes to the right place? This one with a bent liner. The small castration blade (sorry, I don't remember what it's called correctly) could only be opened by first opening the sheepfoot, otherwise you could break a nail, but the blade wouldn't budge. Wenger helped me - I inserted a screwdriver and pressed the liner. Now there were a lot of small marks, but it doesn't bother me - all the blades now go very well and pleasantly. The knife will join my other Bucks in the rotation. The blades are very sharp, I've already cut myself:p

Haven’t bought a new Buck Knife since mid-2024, then last Friday I found the 112LT (shown in previous post above) at a hunting show and yesterday USPS delivered this NOS 312 X (1990) Mini-Trapper that I found and bought last week on-line. I have had several of the Camillus built Buck 311 Farmers Jack (Slim) Trappers, but never had either one of the two Buck-built, made in USA Trappers. I’m glad to finally have one, especially still new-in-the-box. OH

That is one awesome find, congrats! Do you know if Buck produced a 317? All I seem to find are pre-86 models.

A pair of Onsets arrived while I was away on a trip, and man these are fantastic. I can't really understand why Buck discontinued these. ULTRA well tuned flipping action, thin slicey blades in S45vn, feels good in the hand....just not sure why these got cut from the roster. I'm glad I got these before people realize they're going away and snap them all up.

A finger groove 110 is less comfortable than a 112.......?
The only Buck I have with finger grooves is an old 422 Bucklite, and no, they're not really all that comfortable for me in use.:) Now the single hump at the front bolster of a regular 112 feels much better to me during use than the 110 handle without it.

I wear XL gloves, nothing really out of the ordinary, but I don't think I've ever found finger grooves on any knife, gun, or tool that fit me.:)
I also wear an XL glove, and for whatever reason, these fit me perfectly. Even more so on the 186!

I'm one of the odd ones who just doesn't like finger grooves, but I like a reference point on the handle, so you can feel where your hand is without having to look. Like the bolster on the 112 Bucks, or the cutouts for the index finger on my Sebenzas, Hinderers, or Spydercos. Full finger grooves on just about any knife, gun, or tool are generic, and were designed to fit everybody, but manage to almost never be comfortable for me to use. That's just me.

I wear an XL glove as well and find the handle on a 112 to be a bit small for my liking. Put a pair of gloves on and it's even worse.

The 112 is a nice knife, but I much prefer the handle on the 110.
✌️

I have "a few"110s, and I like them. Heck, I've been carrying them on & off for over fifty years. I still have my first one, and it still gets carried.

I never bought my first 112 until about a year & a half ago, but I've been carrying one of my 112s almost every day since. I guess I'm just gravitating toward smaller knives. For instance, I just got one of the new 111s last week. Great knife! I love it! It's not going to be a safe queen. It's going to get carried & used a lot, but I'm already back to carrying my usual 112.:)
