What's your newest Buck knife

Just ordered tonight: 103 Skinner Phenolic 420HC. C&C has them, along with the Cocobolo version, discounted right now and I couldn't resist...

Ordered the 841 Sprint Pro Burlap a couple of weeks ago after my son commandeered my 840 Sprint Select (green), but I'm still waiting for shipment. I must of ordered right when the last one in stock sold at Buck because my order confirmation said I should get it between 6-9 days. The lines crossed between my order and the last one out the door. ;)

That sure is perdy!

Thanks! It really is gorgeous. The picture doesn't do it justice at all because of the way the carbon fiber shifts in the light. It's really cool. I'm thinking it might be a little too flashy for me though, lol.

This bad boy also came in today! The redesigned Buck 108 Froe. Holy crap, I'm in love! I really like that they switched from Dymondwood to Micarta! Great choice! I also much prefer the black blade over the red blade, but I'm still thinking about stripping it. The only weird thing is that is came with a left handed sheath... Is that normal for a machete type blade? I've always carried them on my right side...

I have always wore my condor machete on my left side...... usually when I visit my U.P. property, clearing brush for hunting / shooting lanes. I guess it could be worn either side having just looked at it.

It sure is easier to carry a sidearm with the sheath on the left. I have seen bear and wolf........ not that I'm scared. Lol.

Yea... Having a firearm on my right side was the first thing I thought of too when I noticed it was a left side carry sheath. Personally, I usually have a rifle when I'm out in the brush though. I guess it'll make it easier to wear a dangle knife sheath on my right side rather than having to scout carry when I'm clearing brush and whatnot. :)

Dammit that's a pretty knife. As far as the froe goes just turn the knife around and now u have a right hand carry sheath.:p:D

Buck did an amazing job on the carbon fiber! This is the first marbled carbon fiber I’ve seen zero voids. :)

Haha! That would leave the blade exposed... There’s a post somewhere on this forum talking about what a bad idea that is, lol.

Usually you get some sort of voids when u get into that type of CF. That's great buck took their time with it and got it right.

And if ur careful u can work around the exposed blade thingy. No big deal.:p:D. it is weird buck went with a left hand sheath as standard. Usually the Lefty's get a raw deal.

Oh Buck definitely needs to bring the little brass guy back, with the Buck logo engraved in it.
I love my black alumni and don't care that the logo wore almost completely off after a month, but I probably would be happier if the logo had been engraved.
If Buck brings back whatever that little brass fella is I'll buy one right away, especially if it's got the Buck logo engraved in it.

I have been wanting one of these since I first saw them.
Fits in the hand real nice and opens easily with your thumb.
I prefer lockbacks in folding hunting knives, so I didn't get the old version.
I REALLY wish it had a pocket clip tho. I'm afraid it's absence may cause this knife to not be carried.
Anyone know of a pocket clip that would fit this?

Thanks.

I've been looking at that sheath and it seems that the froe handle would be facing the wrong direction for a left handed use. It looks as if you would have to turn the knife around in your right hand when grabbing it. I guess maybe I'm thinking of it hanging on your left side and grabbing it with your right hand when you need it.

I have a couple of Condor machetes I use to clear hunting property and that's how I use them.

I like that the froe sheath looks as if it is a 'dangler' type sheath tho. Nice knife too. I like the size.
