Whats your pocket knife pet peeve?

1 blade play in any direction
2 screws comming loose all the time (Blue locktight fixes that)
3 people's reactions when there scared of s tool for no reason
there's so meany different styles of blade and over all design of pocket knives atleast there something for every one it personal preference

Regarding the knives themselves: 1. Knives with one Ti scale and one plastic (i.e: FRN, G10, micarta, etc) scale; 2: Tanto, recurved and serrated blades; 3: Irregular and unreliable “quality control”; 4: Brand name-based overinflated prices; 4: Clips that aren’t deep carry; 5: Gun show garbage and the squirrels who sell it.
Regarding our world and how knives are viewed and treated: 1: Idiots who react to pocket knives as if the knives were machine guns; 2: Mindless, draconian regulation of knives (e.g: NYC, London, etc).

Exactly what I’m talking about. An otherwise superb folder.:D

Definetly the biggest peeve of mine is improperly executed plunge grinds where the steel gets thicker near the plunge. Absolutely the worst, it’s horrible to sharpen and looks terrible.

Probably second worst peeve is clones/nock-offs. Example some ganzo that looks like a pm2 and has a axis lock... blech

Also don’t like it when I show somebody a Hinderer or something, and they’re like “Oh I have one just like that!” And then they show me their cheepo shmeepo frost cutlery knife with 110% lock-up and horrible blade play...

Oh yeah and I don’t like serrations

For me being a lefty, it’s dedicated right handed knives or not at least giving the option for left handed carry clip position. And I’m also a USA made only. Off centered blades drive me crazy

When there is no sharpening choil and the factory edge doesn’t go all the way to the Ricasso. Making a slight recurve blade that doesn’t belong there.
Definitely, but easily fixed so it doesn't keep me from buying a knife.
Another thing is a blade that doesn't open very parallel with the spine, I can often improve it and sometimes completely fix it but not always and I do prefer not having to.

For me is piss poor warranty. I'd you have to flip a coin on Monday, Wednesday or Friday, hope Shelley is working in the warranty department when you call in that day and John is the service tech when your knife goes in for warranty for it to be covered then you might as well not even put one on it. I'm looking at you china and a very well known American company I will not name because of "feeling" and my second thing .

Bandwagon jumpers. Just because a handful of dippy Do's on Instagram, Facebook, YouTube or even here say it's cool then all of a sudden it's the coolest thing. And every thing else sucks nuts. You can like what you like. You can have an opinion. It's all good. We all started off liking grandpa's knife. Some of us grew into liking better stuff. Others still like grandpa's knife. That's the fun part of this community. Why tell someone what they like sucks?

- Hard corners, points, and edges on the handle. I don't care how cool it looks if it creates a hot spot.

- When a knife point or edge is exposed or very close to the edge of the scales when a folder is closed.

- Aggressive but arguably unnecessary jimping.

- Knives with permanent thread-locker or that otherwise can't be disassembled.

- Lanyard holes that either disrupt the overall flow of a knife design or necessitate ergonomic hot spots.

That said, I love flipper tabs and liner locks. The latter is a matter of having more scale for my grasp. I was surprised to see all the hate for these two features.

Half serrated blades
"Modern" features on a traditional knife. Do you hear me Case?
The current trend of ultra lightweight knives that feel like I can snap them like a twig.
Poor hear treats on butter soft steel and on the opposite end of this super steels that take a half day to sharpen. Give me a nice mid range steel like 154CM and call it good
