not the one you wish you had...but the one you'd most likely have on you in a survival situation, the one you wouldn't head in to the bush without...right noe for me it's a vic farmer...it's light enough, an d low profile enough that I can always carry it, it's tough as nails ( for a little slip joint) and has already proven itself really handy in the woods....I plan on getting him a big brother to ride in the pack as well...but I certainly don't feel naked when I'm out and that's all I have.

A stainless Opinel #8 is the one I carry all the time, so it's probably also the one that's going to get me out of trouble one of these days.

In all likelihood it's going to be my Mora 510. I'm rarely without it when running around the woods. I'd feel pretty comfortable if it was my only blade.

benchmade mini rukus and sak soldier i ALWAYS have those two on me
except when i shower then its seal pup neck knife:eek:

tyrantblade

Fixed=Mora Clipper (carbon or stainless)
Folder=Camillus Heat or Byrd Cara Cara
Misc.=Leatherman Wave, and/or Gerber folding saw

Frosts 760 Craftsman in bright orange (I really like the high-vis of this knife, and the blade is not bad either)

If I am out hiking, I will have other knives on me such as my Vic. Rucksack or Leatherman Kick, but the orange 760 stays in my PSKs at all times. I actually own four of the knives and have one in my car kit, one in my backpack (for extended trips) kit, one in my daypack (for dayhikes) kit and one that just sits around the kitchen. Gotta love those inexpensive Moras.

Spyderco endura, And my leatherman Wave. I pretty much never go out the front door without this duo.

If I am planning a longer excursion, Kabar, or Fiscard hatchette and Helle Eggen.

depends on what kind of survival situation really :)

i think urban survival shtf and i could only have 1 knife... im pretty confident with just my leatherman wave :o

for everything else my scrapyard yard hook with the nice recurve or one of my HI kukris in the 16-17" range :D :thumbup:

A modded Busse Active Duty for hiking or general outdoors stuff or a custom Ranger RD-7 for camping.

EDC Boker 2000 or 3000 on belt with Leatherman super tool, Benchmade 940 Osborne axis lock in my pocket
If i'am going walkabout in the woods i'll bring mid sized fixed blade lately its one of my newer knives like the Bravo-1 Gameskeeper or Fox River

Busse SFNO on my pack, but a RAT3 on my person. I just picked up a Bravo1 which may become my new "on my person" fixed blade. But at the moment I haven't tried it out yet.
