Why is it that threads about killing zombies keep popping on this forum? Is it an inside joke referencing something that happened here in the past? What does that have to do with knife discussions and collecting? Sorry if the answer is obvious. I just find it all confusing

A zombie apocalypse is a hypotherical "survival" scenario. It's just a probable as many other "survival" scenarios, so people like to discuss it.

And....zombies are cool.

Its not a blade forums thing. Its pretty much a world wide thing now. Hard to explain but its kind of a fun way to prepare yourself for bad times. If you are prepared to face a zombie horde you are also prepared for a real survival situation.

Is this about knives.

Since it is not....
What is it about starting non-knife threads in a knife discussion forum?

who invited the party poopers? those guys will definitely be the first to get eaten alive by zombies :)

I see heaps of knives in this thread, its just for fun...zombie movie culture is large and fun to discuss. :D

i see plenty of knives and cutlery in this thread, so its not entirely devoid of knives, though there is the occasional firearm and misc column

Well I made it in high school, about 12+ years ago in the metal shop class I took.
Weighes about 5 pounds and is around 19 inches long.
The blade stock is 1/4 and the body stock is 3/4 inch.
Feels real good in the hands.
I tried wrapping the handle but it would just unwind, as I was/am lacking the proper knowledge in that field.
Thanks for asking.
