Where are the new 301's & 303's ?

Yes. I also picked up one of the large Founder's Edition Ranges they had. They'd brought 20 to the show they said, though it will be another month or so before they start hitting the vendors, according to them. I held the small, and it's uhhhh...it's VERY small.
Yeah, at just over 2.5", it may be just what some are looking for, but it's a little small for me. The big one sounds about right.

Those are great photos!

Now, that’s what I’m talking about!! Great looking knives, including the little one! Love the Spitfire.

Thanks for posting up the pictures, Great job!!👏 👍

What don’t you like about it? Have you tried out the Larrin 501? Incredible magnacut on this blade! View attachment 2898179
I have a 110 and a 112 still. The 110 took a roll in the blade almost immediately when cutting cardboard. (I don't cut a lot of cardboard....). So I grabbed the 112. It lasted longer than the 110 before it took a roll, but still far quicker than expected for the most miraculous blade steel known to man.

By comparison, I have a 110 in S90V thats cut everything from cardboard to game regularly, and despite all the use, it still has the factory edge, though I admit after all these years, it will soon visit the stone.

Buck's S30V, CPM154, 154CM, S35VN and S45VN have all withstood considerably more than the Magnacut did. By a wide margin.

I have a couple of MKC knives in Magnacut as well. I've carried one regularly for several weeks and its holding up as well as the other steels Ive listed. I dont know how i havent broken the tip off yet!?!

So... it's not that I don't like Magnacut, I'm just not a fan of Buck's Magnacut.

I"m not hating on Buck by any means. I have more Buck Knives than I care to admit.

Since I know how to sharpen a blade, ease of sharpening isn't a factor I consider. I prefer toughness, hardness, and geometry over ease of sharpening and coolness.

I personally, in my use feel Buck's Magnacut compares best to their 420HC than anything.
Your experience may be different, and that's okay! I wont critice anyone for it. We all have different expectations of a blade and this just doesnt meet mine.

Sorry for late reply. I just saw this! Understand what you’re saying. I have not had the same experience with my Larrin after fairly heavy use. I wonder if they used different Magnacut for that sprint run?

I am sorry to hear about your experience with your 110 and 112 in Magnacut. I have used and abused the Magnacut steel well before we sold them and was very impressed. I did get some rolling but I was hacking at an elk antlers in Quality. Would you be up for sending them back to me so I can do a Rc test on them and measure the angles? They should be 62-64 Rc but everything I have tested as been right at 64.

I appreciate that! I did sharpen both of them a couple of weekends ago (along with a pile of others that were overdue). I don't know that you'll be able to measure the angles as I tried to make them a little more obtuse on the Norton. I'll send them along when I get a chance if you still want them.

Pay attention folks - this is an example of the commitment Buck makes to their customers!

Very interested in the results 👍🏼👍🏼

Nickel silver from what I’ve seen.
I read elsewhere there was a problem with the brass, or at least the supply of the brass maybe it was, and that the brass ones aren’t going to materialize at all - or at least not any time soon. :(

Buck Knives Inc. Buck Knives Inc. , any official word you’re at liberty to share? I also wouldn’t turn down a hint at when my Ranges on pre-order from the Knife Center might ship. :)

I sure hope the Ranges are worth the wait. Seems like their main American competitors have already released earlier in the year, a variety of new models requiring new materials, tooling, CNC programming etc.

Besides the BOTM, a few web exclusives and the slipjoints, makes you wonder what Buck has been doing for the last 8 months on their main production line.

But its first world problems right? Another knife we can’t buy just yet 😂

This attitude tight here is one reason y’all have such a devoted following. Really awesome.

We did have issues with our brass for the new 300's series and had to make a change to release them this year. Regarding the 790 and 791 we are still on target for for our release date.
