Those gaps and the hanging spey look a lot like my sample.View attachment 2967038View attachment 2967039View attachment 2967040View attachment 2967041View attachment 2967039
These appear to be unfinished knives to my eyes.Buck Knives Inc. is this considered normal quality these days?
I have purchased 3 of the "redesigned for 2025" Stockman knives. All had issuesThere seems to be a decent percentage of 301's with these problems. Anybody found similar problems with the 303?
Good observation. I can see the bow on the liner.I guess I got lucky with my 301. No gaps but there is a slight rub of the spey on the sheepsfoot blade, it's really not bad though. I was just looking it over and I think the problem on mine is the pile side liner looks like it bows in a little bit taking some space away in the well. It's hard to get a good pic but I think that's what's causing the rub on mine.

I didn't buy one of these, so I should probably keep my opinion to myself. I'm glad yours seems to be put together better than some of the others shown here. I realise that some liner & spring gaps, or a little blade wobble isn't going to affect a knife's use, or how long the knife lasts, but...... I don't know. Maybe I'm OCD or something, but I don't like to see it.I guess I got lucky with my 301. No gaps but there is a slight rub of the spey on the sheepsfoot blade, it's really not bad though. Okay, I'll shut up now.
My two made it to Post Falls on Sept. 9, so they should be in the warranty queue by now. We'll see how it goes from here.
I just got an email update from the warranty department. Mine got there yesterday. Can't wait to drop it in my pocket again!
