I went to Columbia Jr College in Sonora CA. which is a major firefighting college in California.
Then I enlisted in the Marine Corps after a year at Columbia.
Then attended Delta Jr College in Stockton CA.
Didn't really go to "college" per se, but I attended Universal Technical Institute (Exton, PA campus) for automotive schtuff. Not a bad school for what it is, but not really necessary if you have any experience working in the automotive industry (well, on the service end). Figured I'd go and shoot into the Audi or VW program after, and decided it wasn't for me. Finished school, got my "diploma" jammy, and got myself into a VW dealer without needing the school .
Best part about it as living in PA. Love me some Pennsylvania..
I was on the 10 year plan (10 years from High School to College graduation) - Humboldt State University Bachelor of Science in Forest Management Class of 1980.
Undergraduate: Kansas State University
Graduate: University of Missouri at Kansas City School of Dentistry
Post Graduate: Advanced General Dentistry Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi MS
School of Hard Knocks: Korea (twice), Japan, Okinawa, Philippines and lots of places state side.
I did college on the 14 year installment plan:
Kansas State University (consecutive summer sessions while in High School)
College of Lake County (Chicago, Il) while in the Navy (enlisted at 17)
Kansas State University for 3 years
School of hard knocks for 3 more (including 1 year of apprentice machinist)
Kansas State University for 4 to get my BS in Biology, Physical Science, & Secondary Ed
currently I don't use any of my degrees in my job - but I do use a lot of the stuff I learned keeping myself alive and fed outside of class.
Berry College (largest campus in the world at 28,000+ acres). If you like the outdoors this is a great school plenty of hiking trails, managed hunts (7:1 student to deer ratio), and one of the top liberal arts school in the country. Received my BA in History and almost minored in Photography. Now I am getting a second bachelors at Southern Polytechnic State University in IT and Computer Systems.
Colorado Northwestern Community College for an Associate of Science and then to Colorado State University for my Bachelors degree. Going to a Junior college for 2 years was the best decision for me. I got the general stuff out of the way for much cheaper than the major university. Got my degree in Fishery Biology.
