I'll tell you what Dan let's use these khuks to build a darn fine sailing ship (and ArchAngel's machine shop access and skills) and take the island of Maui--it is very warm and there's an endless supply of sugarcane to slice. If you've never sliced live sugar cane with a thin bladed (Kobra) khuk you are missing something of beauty! Not to mention the Java plum trees--junk alein species that are so soft I felled a 12" tree with minimal effort--then limbed it! Makes you feel like Paul Bunyan:thumbup:

Then there's the ocean...the breezes, the food, the mountains ahhh homesickness can smart a bit sometimes:(
 
i wuz gonna suggest all you maineiacs try invading canada instead of masssachoosettts. kerry and kennedy would be waitin' fer ye with their assault rifles; in your favour tho is they are the only ones allowed to have them there. (they're probably not as good a shot as dick cheney anyhow). in canada there'd be nobody with a weapon, yer choice tho. best call a town meetin' and discuss it fer awhile.

maui wud be nice, ceptin it's all full up with them touristy types, betcha they're chock ablock full o them, mebbe even 2 per sq. mile or more......horrible dense. probably can even see your neighbor. no privacy at all. yuck.

Yall want Massatwoshits (my Dad, raised in Berkshire Cty, always called it that) you can keep it. I might buy my Grandmother's house back into the family cheap, though, iffin yall exercise eminant domaine and don't charge Yankee tax rates. If my parents, grandparents, and uncles werent buried there, I wouldnt ever care to visit Hinsdale again.

As for my name on here, it was my Grandfather's real life nick-name.

3 hrs North from Hell A, 4 hours South from The City, I hear the ocean from my back yard. I walk 2 minutes down a dirt road to a small cove of tidal flats.

Santa Maria may be 4 hours south of Salinas, but not from SF;)
You're much much closer with the Morro Bay guess.
But by no means exact:D
