Where the snark is the snark?

This is totally inappropriate, disgusting, immoral, and absolutely unacceptable! I guess that's why I like it so much! Well played sir! Well played indeed!

Thanks Todd. I do try. Don't suppose you want to send me a some sort of prize do you? Say, an M18?

Zz has appropriated me as his proxy for this Snark thread. He says he refuses to give in to your wreckless baiting Tom and Eric. His force is strong. Powerful. Omnipotent. Isn't that right Zz?

Anyone else into picking locks? Been dabbling in lock sport the last few months. Really enjoy the puzzle. Here is my edc kit built from all sparrows stuff.

Yeah, I've done a bit, although it looks like you don't have my favorite pick. It's been pretty eye-opening to realize how unsecure a deadbolt really is.

So clich has become a cat burglar? My favorite pick...

I like the classic rake. Gets through most things pretty easily, or in combination with a snake or half-diamond. I do think every set should have one.

My favorite is the worm or some call it a c or a snake depending on the maker. But you're right it is astonishing how easy it really is. I've graduated to higher security stuff now. Spools and serrated pins inside serrated chambers. Handcuffs are fun to pick. Was hoping to pick up a set of high security ones to play with since I've easily beaten my sw asp and peerless. I've shown my friends and family that they need to rethink security.

I'd really like to get my hands on a lock with those telescoping pin in pins. Those look ridiculous but somehow Bosnian bill pops them without issue.

I got a set for Christmas. I've only played a little with them so far. I need to get some practice in.

Where does one start with this, as far as locks to play with? Masterlocks or do you have a deadbolt sitting somewhere to play with it? I'm thinking the front door of the house is a bad place to stand with a lock-picking set.

I started collecting locks when I was in the store and saw one I didn't have. More often than not it's well below my skill level and pop it in a second. So I started searching for locks with particular traits and buy online. And as far as picking your own house locks I do it regularly since you need to hold the picks different than of you are holding a padlock in your hand. Also check local laws. Some states, like here in pa, classify lock picks as burglary tools but it's the states responsibility to prove intent. So I can carry as long as I'm not commuting a crime. Other states require you to show intent meaning you have to be a locksmith landlord etc.

We are the property managers of the place we rent, so I could probably show a legitimate reason for owning a set. The WI law states that possession, plus intent to break-in AND commit theft results in a Class 1 felony. My purposes are more curiosity and the fact that the upstairs tenants love to "lose" their keys.

This lil gal came over for a beer.

That's what I'm talking about! Almost got that Pallas from the Exchange.....but I guess someone else got there first.

Oh, yeah.....I'll pop back in later to be in on whatever page that is as I don't have the time to be in on this one.

Yeah you'll probably be fine. As long as I don't carry my set while also carrying a chainsaw shovel garbage bags duct tape ski mask and lime they can't say a thing lol. I started with a basic Southard set from lockpick shop dot com. Then when I got better and wanted more feel and feedback I went to sparrows and built my set with the picks I liked best. Some of the most popular picks don't work for me so it's all about finding your niche. But once you get going it's a very entertaining challenge. A puzzle every sense but your eyes get to partake in.

Now to let u guys in on the real secret of why I stumble back in here. Ive been saving for a grail knife and I'm trying to find a user. Xm 18 3.5 spanto. Just had a monster stor, and raked in a boat load of overtime so in the next week I'll finally have the blade I've wanted for years. So psyched. Now to just find one.....
