Where will you be at 12:00 midnight on Dec. 31

My band is playing that night, so I'll be at a church in Carson, CA, playin' bass guitar and rockin' in Y2K.

I'll be home with my wife, probably sleeping long before midnight. It's not a big deal, the real first day of the year is the second day of winter when the days start getting longer.

Hope everybody who has to be out in it comes home safe, though.

I didn't have time to look through all the posts so i'm sorry if this is a repeat.

You need to keep in mind that your local time is not all that matters. GMT is what all the air traffic controlers use.

If you're surfing, a server in Germany could go down before it's midnight so at 10:30, sites could stop working.

this post is probably gonna be so far down nobody reads it.

I'm not on duty that night

, so I'll be home with my wife & kids, hoping all the things that I've heard, read, & been told this past year are just not going to happen.
I don't think it's smart or safe to be on the roads this time of year unless you have to. With all the T.V. coverage, this could be a total non-event or we might see some BAD stuff happen on live T.V.

. However it turns out, God is still in control & things will work out. I am concerned at this point that the biggest problem will not be with computers, but with people: terrorists, Nuts, etc. Stay Safe! Doug.

Am on duty, get off shift at 0000. Have heard rumors that there might be mandatory holdover if things get hectic, but got that covered. Plan on coming home and hitting the rack , am on all weekend, boo hiss. I agree with the people that said if nothing happens, people tend to make bad stuff occur. Later, Jeff
