Whetstone is a horrible seller and a liar
I have been dealing with a seller on ebay known as Whetstone. Horrible service
:thumbdn:. I ordered a Spyderco Military from him for market price. Shipping was estimated to be 7-10 days USPS. After I made my order I waited 7 days then I checked the "ask the seller a question" to see what was up with my order. I waited till the last day, day 10, and the item had not arrived. By the 14th day I contacted him and told him that if the item had not shipped that I want a refund because I was no longer happy with his services -and if it was shipped then I want a tracking number. Here is his reply:
"Greetings, Your item has already shipped out. Unfortunately, there are no track numbers on first class mail. However, this is a regularly stocked item and easily replaced. The shipping estimate you refer to is generated by ebay and does not represent a statement from us.
- whetstone"
He says that the item already shipped out
-So I am then expecting it to come shortly via USPS. He does not give me a tracking number of any kind and we all know that USPS has confirmation numbers, but he points out my mistake of mentioning tracking and does not pony-up a confirmation number
. Today is 19 days from the time of my order and he sends me this:
"We regret that we cannot complete this transaction. Please go to the paypal
website, into their resolution center, then onto their "report a problem"
section, and dispute this transaction for a timely return of your funds.
We apologize for any trouble this has caused."
It is now clear what a "exploitive deleted" this dealer is. He lied about shipping the item and has been holding onto nearly $100 of my money for 19 days. Why cant he refund my money? Why does he want to use the resolution center instead of refunding me my money? The resolution center says that it can take up to 45 days to resolve a dispute from the time it is started -that will make it a total of 64 days that this "exploitive deleted" has stolen my near $100. Exploitive deleted.
I contacted him and asked for him to just directly refund me my money and I am now waiting for a reply before I start the dispute process. I have never had to use the dispute process and I am not looking forward to it. It even states in the resolution center that it is easier to resolve a dispute by talking to the seller instead of using the resolution center at paypal.
What is this guy doing? Going to the race tracks? Overnight funds? Conspiracy theory? -Okay maybe not, but still Whetstone is a exploitive deleted.
Avoid this seller at all costs.
