Whetstone on ebay

Maybe a favorable end to this received notice that PP has ruled in my favor and they will be posting a refund in the next 5 days. We will see and hope. Whet stone was/is a piece of work though to keep on selling without having product.

Same here, just received a notice from PP today stating they ruled in my favor and will refund in 5 days. From now on, I'll pay a couple of dollars extra if need be to buy from well known and trusted merchants.

I hope paypal is able to deal with Whetstone appropriately. I can't stand a thief.

received the same e-mail. Check my account, money is already there.

Thanks for the heads-up. My money was already refunded as well. I was pleasantly surprised that paypal automatically credited the part that came from my CC account, back to my credit card. I'm glad Paypal seems to be taking care of everyone on this Whetstone ordeal.

I to have money in my PP account (not for long). But as Hoopster stated; "From now on, I'll pay a couple of dollars extra if need be to buy from well known and trusted merchants." I did my "background check" and this seller had nothing but good feedback. Then something went bad and left a number of us with unfulfilled Ebay contracts. Am kind of impressed with how Ebay/Paypal stood up and took care of us.

This really sucks that he's being like this and running his business in this fashion. maybe in time he will rip off and piss off too many people and be kicked to the curb by eBay. I always regardless of what item I sell from my site include shipping info and a tracking number. I ship USPS every single day and there is never an issue with getting a tracking number. communication is key in business, any business regardless if it's on the web or a real store front.

it sounds like you are doing your part and really keeping your cool.

Good luck my friend.
TKAZ this is the second thread I have seen you jump in with soundly advice and also informing us of how well you conduct your business. A little friendly advice. You are on the fence and crossing into spamming for your business. But I guess since you pay to be in the dealers area you have the right. Is business that bad? This is my humble opinion and we are entitled to our opinions. At least for now.

Same story for me. Won and paid for a Millie on 2/1. PayPal claim opened on 2/23. Received my refund from PayPal today.

I'm very glad that this is working out for everybody. Makes me happy to see people get back what is rightfully theres.

Oh okay, since we are all on this topic - I may as well point out that I had the same exact experience as The Government. I won a Military for like $85 shipped. I finally asked for my money back 24 days later. I was polite to him, I kindly asked for tracking on my order.
I received no reply for like a week or so. Then he said my order had shipped. Then he was having a long holiday on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. I let it slide for that, no problems at all. 2 weeks went by and still no knife.
I think that if an Ebay seller ends up selling a knife like a Mili for less than say $100 they can refuse to ship it, and probably resell it in the hope of recovering the money it is worth to them by relisting it. This is a BS tactic to say the least.
I too received the email asking to file a PayPal claim, and I got my money back, when they tried to take it from his bank account, no funds were available. All I can say is Thank GOD that the bay offers buyer protection.

Took me 2 weeks of waiting for a Sage 2 that never arrived. After emailing him alot of times the knife arrived after almost 3 weeks. Happened to my friend also. He got a refund.

I got ripped by that seller myself for a sage. I sent a copy of the email saying that they could unfortunatley not complete the sale and I got my money back in a matter of days. maybe I was lucky?

Dont let one dumb butt seller ruin it for you, it isnt ebay, its the seller. Plenty of good people to deal with on there. When stuff like this happens it can indeed be a headache but in the end you are protected if you use paypal and a credit card

I'm so glad you wrote this. Not that I sell a lot of anything on there. But, honestly it's a decent service. I try to deal more along the lines of individuals with 100% positive feedback if at all possible. Also I'm sad to have to hear negatives about bad people, but I'm sure as heck thankful as well. Thankful I read this and people spoke up about "Whetstone", so I didn't have to be the one going through all that. Thanks to you guys for reporting such a scheming conniver.
Have a great day.

Only the last two posts are current. Previous posts are 5 years old. Hopefully Whetstone is OUT OF BUSINESS.
