Which animal species do you fear the attack of most? Why?

Gosh, since I don't live where all of this big monster animals are that would attack me, I would have to say I am not really afraid of anything.

I have a healthy respect for venomous snakes, and will occasionally go on a night hunt for black widow spiders for the sake of the munchkin dogs, but it's not like any of them are hunting me.

I may get startled, but never afraid.

And bigasswiteboy - I have a sweet little hamster name Sharley Davidson.

I agree with Gollnick - a beloved dog will steal your heart. My 5 don't steal my life minute by minute, however. They share their love with me minute by minute, and as a result, they actually prolong my life.

And as Glockman said, "I am Alpha."

The homosapien species all the way. I'm fairly certain lions and bears don't know tactical weaponry skillz.

Alligators. Because I am ignorant of how they behave, and I just started hiking in their habitat.

The only thing to fear in life is fear itself.* (in reality maybe one of my 4 x-wives) now that is a scary thought.*

Mosquitoes are responsible for more deaths than any other animal in the world,so I have a healthy fear of them & all the diseases they carry.

I had two close encounters with water moccasins last year when hiking. Sometimes these friggin snakes tend to just lay out in the road soaking up the rays when I'm walking by. Luckily they just retreated even after almost stepping on one.

I have noticed allot of snake fear here sooo...here's some snake goodness for you snake-phobia fellers..

Homo Sapiens - Wildly unpredictable, capable of inflicting incredible pain and suffering while not always dispatching you quickly. One of (if not the only) animal that derives pleasure from the torment and killing of other animals.

Exactly so.

the Indigo snake is an amazing snake love pine and bull snakes too. i have never been afraid of snakes. in fact i own quite i few

Snakes, or spiders. They can sneak up on you, live on my continent (unlike sharks, piranhas, chimps, etc.), and if they are poisonous they can kill you with just one bite, or less

I thought Indigos were endangered. Maybe not any more. I have always liked snakes myself but as I said in my initial post here mambas scare me. They are very aggressive when provoked and if they bite you, your lucky if you have an hour to live.

Things that lurk in the water like others have posted. Not fond of snakes, but this area has so few poisonous species, it's not really even worth worrying about. Prairie rattlers is the only one I am aware of and I believe they are fairly docile. I have a pic around here somewhere that I ran across riding the ATV. If I can dig it up, I will post it..

Midgets then clowns then maybe Black Bear.

Heard on Discovery they are the worst. The other kinds of bear maul you (death is not the goal) Black Bear actually intend to and will EAT You.

Redback spiders
Funnelweb spiders
Brown snakes
Tiger snakes
Red Bellied Black Snakes
Taipans
Death Adders
Blue Ringed Octopus
Box jellyfish
Stonefish
Great White shark
Saltwater crocodiles
Freshwater crocodiles

I'm sure I've left a few out.

.
Does anyone know of a theory as to why there are so many deadly poisonous animals in/around Australia?

Mosquitoes are responsible for more deaths than any other animal in the world,so I have a healthy fear of them & all the diseases they carry.

I'll second that one. Been there, done that (about 400 bites in under 5 minutes), and would rather no be there again.
