That is some really nice redwood. I would usually say #1--esp with the tight pattern of the eyes, but I'm really liking the second block, so I'll say #2.

Cutting the burl one way shows burl figure with lots of eyes on the face. (top - #1)

I think the eyes are what make burl stand out.
