Which do you like better? Your Opinion/Contest

A rare thing when both are very good but I expect i would pick number 1 as it has a lot, especially for a smaller knife but, hey, it and the other would look very good on anything!
 
I like both pieces... but to be sure, I'd have to see them on knives. Why don't you send them both my way, and I'll make sure to let you know which one I prefer once I've used them on something (as slow as I am, this may take a year or so :D).

My intitial preference is #1 (but I have a sneaking suspicion that #2 would look REAL NICE on a large bowie).

Both are absolutely beautiful wood. I like #2 the most, it's so different than what you see normally.
 
I would always prefer #1 assuming the eyes are a consistent spacing / size / color

if not I would rather have the rays.
 
i like both for different things, i guess if i had to pick one and one only id take number 1. thanks for providing an opurtunity to win some free wood.
 
My vote would honestly be for number #1 since I do stock removal full tang and would want scales. If I was doing a hidden tang then 100% my vote would be for #2.

Most all knives I make are small, 6" and under. I like #1 for this reason. The more activity in the grain I think is better for the smaller handles. That being said both blocks are beautiful. Thanks for the chance.
 
Man, I would love to use either to make a knife, but if it comes down to picking only one, I would choose #1.
