Which folder for Skinny Jeans?

Hi,

I was wondering what may be a good knife to get for skinny jeans. I have an SOG spec elite I now, and it looks/feels like a brick in my pocket. Was looking for something with a 3-4 inch blade. What do you think? :)

If you want to go really skinny, a stainless Spyderco Delica or Endura would do the trick. Or old-style stainless Spydie Police. All of those babies are really flat. Plus, being stainless, they slide in and out of your pocket without grief.

You could always wear men's jeans.

Just bustin balls. When you want slim you go Spyderco stainless steel handles.

I would say Large Sebenza. Very slim and looks subdued carried in a jeans pocket.

I just compared my Stainless Delica with a Military and 710. The Delica is considerably flatter. No contest.

I have a stainless Police SE (old style) on the way to my mailbox. Thats an awesome combo of super thin knife for EDC coupled with big, killer aggressive serrated edge.

The primary downside with stainless is that in addition to being very thin, it can also be slick. That smooth, stainless surface - like the surface of a stainless fridge door - has no grippy goodness. Everything is a tradeoff.

Here are some pictures of the BM530

I generally edc the Delica 4 FRN or one of its siblings but if you want thin I don't think you can get much thinner than the 530.

Let us know what you decide.

The "Because I'm Emo" (see YouTube) song just came into my head when I read this. Specifically the line that say's "your sister's pants look great on you, by the way". Thanks for the laugh.

But, to be helpful! I'm currently captivated by Kershaw's OD-1. Pretty thin, frame lock, G-10, one hell of a launcher, 3" blade.

Good luck with the jeans.

I'd change jean style rather than change knife - unless you're female in which case nothing should mar the lines - not even pockets. Downunder, skinny jeans on blokes = dork. I also like a bit of breathing space for my "downunders".

Shallot is pretty thin in that blade size as is the Leek, both are stainless handles (except for the G10 Leek) and slim so they should be easy for you to carry.
