Which folder for Skinny Jeans?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I've been wanting a stainless handle for some time, im leaning toward the endura. Are these easy to "flick open"? I have grown fond of my spec elite in that respect, as I find it a good flicker.

As for my jeans, I'm a bit of an irregular fit. A skinny jean on me, is like a regular jean on you. Still plenty of room. However the spec elite I is just not a comfortable carry.

i say go with a mnandi. the mnandi is a smaller blade than you want by maybe 1/4". but its a gentlemen's knife chances are if your wearing skinny jeans your prob a little into how you look as im i. i cant see myself pulling a bm out of my skinny jeans pocket in certain situations. chances are im out with friends and theyll all look at me like im crazy cause its a little to "scary looking". save your money and buy a mnandi. i plan on ordering mine next week :)

spyderco endura, these are available in other handle than s.s. however if you tend to hold on to your selections you can ruff up the s.s. with sandpaper or agressive belts. make sure you do a good knife cleaning job so mech. is still slick.

I'm not a fan of skinny jeans myself, but I don't agree with making fun of a guy who's coming here to ask for honest advice. I probably don't wear what many people on these forums wear, but I'm not going to assume that my way of dressing is superior.

To answer the question:

Spyderco: Salt Series, Military, Para, Centofante
Kershaw: Leek, Shallow
Benchmade 530

When I switched to more fitted jeans, I switched to slipjoints. They pocket really well in the back pocket or the coin pocket if it's small enough (like a peanut). The snugness of the jeans retains it really well too and I've never come close to losing one. In fact, I've ran into wayyy more problems with a clipped knife.

It's hard to go wrong with Spyderco. The Endura is a great knife. A little bigger than I typically prefer for edc, but still a great knife. One thing to keep in mind is that the ss model weights about 5.6 oz compared to 3.6 oz for the FRN Endura. I don't have the ss model so I'm not sure how they compare in regards to width, but the regular Endura is pretty slim and might work fine for you.

Also have you considered the Pacific Salt. It's the same basic size as the Endura and has the Gen 3 FRN handle.

As far as your jeans are concerned; I assume you are fairly young. Wear whatever you want and welcome to the forum.

Anything with a stainless handle will slide in way easier than G-10.
But then you give up some grip in use.
IMO both the Spyderco Police and Police 3 do quite well.

The Endura should not flick open. If you want an easy opening Endura get one with the Emerson "Wave" feature - should even work with tight jeans and is one of my favourite EDC knives, especially when wearing comfortable, loose-fitting pullup shorts.

Sorry - couldn't help having another dig at the tight jeans. It's so hot and humid in these parts that tight pants are really uncomfortable - not just because of the heat - it's a case of plenty of air circulating around the nether regions or getting jock itch real quick - even when showering 3 or more times a day.

You say they fit like regular jeans on you so I would be guessing you don't have large hands either? The endura is a large knife, if you don't have a large hand it might feel awkward to open and use. The delica may be a better choice but that's for you to decide.

Along with the stainless look at the G-10 models, they are also thin plus they are flat ground making them good slicers. The ability to flick a knife mostly comes down to the user but once they break-in, yes, they are very flickable.

Can't go much thinner than a fruit testing knife:

So that's what the A.G. Russell Fruit Testing Knife looks like in-hand. That's one heck of a knife.

I'm thinking that any single-bladed slipjoints would be quite thin. If you would like something a bit smaller, a single-bladed doctor's knife would do the trick as well. Personally, I like the toothpick pattern.

You could always wear men's jeans.

Just bustin balls. When you want slim you go Spyderco stainless steel handles.
This, when I was 200lb, I couldn't even get my calves through the thigh area of size 38 skinny jeans lol.

How about the stainless steel byrds? they have extremely thin handles.
