Which handgun is "The One" you'd never ever part with?

In my collection there are a couple guns I would never sell. My Grandpa's .357 is one. I have to admit, though I have taken the stock grips off (safely set aside) and put a houge set on. I would like at some point to get a custom fit hardwood set.

I also would never sell my Ruger Mark1. I have had that gun since I was a little kid, and put probably 40,000 rounds through it. Still going strong. When I bought it, it was already well used. That was 18 or so years ago.

I also have an AMT .30 carbine pistol and M1carbine rifle that shoot the same round. That gun is long, loud, not too comfortable to carry (has some sharp edges on the slide release) but I would never sell that one either. It is so danged straight shooting and easy to hit with, especially rapid fire.

sorry, no individual pics I don't think.

I have one I would never sell for sentimental reasons (inherited) but of the ones I've purchased I would have to say my S&W 340PD. It's the scandium/titanium 5-shot .357 revolver.

It's the only full-powered handgun I have than can be concealed no matter what clothes I'm wearing. It even fits comfortably in the front pocket of a pair of dress pants.

I also like the 340PD. Generally carry 38 +P loads because, as you know, it's a handful with something like CorBon 357s! It weighs less than a pound loaded and you don't even notice it in your pocket (nor does anyone else).

My old (68) Browning Hi-Power. Like me, a bit battered and no longer 'pretty' - but still highly functional

A special run S&W PC 629 5" v-comp with a trigger enhancement. I just can't find fault with it. It just feels right.

+1 on keeping my Ruger Mark1... it's definitly a keeper... and I've had a number of offers for it. 'Aint gonna' happen... I'm keepin' it!

My Aunt is coming over today. We are hiking about 4 miles or so through the hills and hollers. My selection of carry revolvers is laid out. Now I just have to pick.

If I'd had it, and be allowed to keep it around it be the S&W Mod 10 4" heavy barrel (.38Sp) I had the honor of shooting.

Take that bigun' second from the left to save ammo. One round from that puppy will drop her like a sack of 'taters.

Oh... you like your aunt???

Never mind.:o:D

When my dad died, my mom parceled out the firearms. I got a really nice (brand new) Browning SS 20 ga. with an english stock, a Winchester 21 12 ga skeet and skeet, and a very nice Browning High Power. My brother must have been standing in line first - he got, amoung other things, my great grandfathers broomstick Mauser brought over from the old country way back in the early 1900's. I really hope he is taking care of it.

I'm new to the forum, but thought i'd go ahead and post.

My fav Hand gun would have to be my springfield XDm. Incredibly smooth action and have never had a single jam in it with over 3500rnds run through it. I love it.

I've sold off quite a few nice guns but the one I'll probably keep is my 6" Python. I got this from my brother and then had an action job done be Reeves Jungkind, top Python smith. Looks good, shoots great!!

WOW!!!! Very nice indeed!

Charter Arms .44 Special Bulldog. Always liked the idea of a short barrelled revolver like the Detective and Chief's specials but wanted more power than a .38 Special. I know it's old school.

I was appointed a deputy sheriff in June 1970. I promptly purchased a Smith and Wesson Md. 36 Chief's Special with a square butt. It was new and I bought it for $65.00. Have not carried it for years but will never part with it.

Here are the ones I have sold recently.

All gone, and I am regretting some of them.

My S&W 19-3, 6 inch barrel, 3T's pinned and recessed.. :)

I'd rather shoot +P .38 158 grain in it than any .357 at all. The improvement in accuracy AND speed justifies it, IMO, even though it took me a while to admit it.
