Which knife brand do you find yourself buying from the most?

I’ve bought more Cold Steel than any other. They make great gifts.
I own more Spydercos than any other.

Folders
  1. Spyderco - cool lineup of designers and great quality.
  2. Benchmade - rehasing some of their iconic designs in different sizes (mini ?) and materials.
  3. CRKT - some cool/whimsical designs from reputed and established designers; however opportunity for improvement on materials.
Fixed Blade
  1. Bark River - Great ergos and handle materials. Outstanding Convex grind/edges.
  2. TOPS - High quality American craftsmanship and American materials.
Traditional
  1. Case (esp. vintage Case) - 130 years and still going strong and desirable. They must be doing something right somewhere.
  2. Great Eastern Cutlery - Outstanding F/F and craftsmanship. However I don't like the sometimes "artificial" hype generated by the company and their dealers with their limited batches and "collectability". Will they be as sought after in another 50 or even 25 years ? … only time will tell.

Currently Cold Steel. They seem to be the best value for the money now. Before CS, it was Spyderco.

Buck..by far. I'm a life member of the BCCI and collect rare,odd,1of1 and prototype 112's. I actually feel weird and/or disloyal if I even consider another Brand..

Gotta have some deep pockets to make CRK your most bought knife haha!
Personally for me it would be Spyderco and Hinderer.

Spyderco because for me they're always a safe bet. I prefer sharpness and ergos to durability and size and I've never found an uncomfortable or dull Spyderco.

I like to try other stuff plenty but so many companies wind up making the blade too thick behind the edge. The edge really thickens up on you as you wear the knife away as well. I may expect too much, but I prefer my folder/ edc to be box cutter sharp or at least close.

If I had more money I'd probably have Microtech, CRK, or customs/ individual makers as my most purchased.

Who’s counting? Seriously. I have multiples of a lot of brands. Three brands I have been buying over a span of forty years or so: Opinel, SAK and Anza. I started buying all three, not because I had a particular interest in knives, but because I needed them as tools. All told, that accounts for a couple dozen knives.

More recently, I have binged on a couple of brands, Old Hickory and Green River. Those come to less than a dozen in toto. I am probably just about done buying those. Over the last several years I have accumulated maybe a dozen Moras, which is probably enough.

I have a shelf full of slip joints, a few GECs, but mostly Case and Rough Rider. These continue to trickle in. I keep coming back to Condor machetes, giving me a total of five at present. I have three Benchmades, and will probably buy more. There are several Kershaws, too.

My tastes are malleable. I tend to buy knives that get talked up on the forum. That said, I have not bought any Spydercos, ZTs, CRKs, or anything over $160.

I can't speak for everyone, but I always find myself looking at and being drawn to one particular knife brand more then I do other brands. I'm always looking at and buying from Cold Steel, so I guess that's my "go to" brand for now.

I think the great quality you get for the money is what attracts me to them the most and they do come out with some really cool and useful designs while using good quality materials.

Bark River Knives for me. I just love convex knives. Fallkniven is up there too.

Having just inventoried my collection yesterday, it goes:

1 Spyderco
2 Buck
3 Boker

Given another year and an unexpected cash injection, I'd add some Cold Steel, CRK and, well more Spyderco.

Victorinox, but that's because of the toolset + blades, plus a yearly Alox from that year's colors. So I'm not really buying a knife, so much as the color that year or a tool kit that has a blade.
After that, by far Moki made knives under different brands.
Then Case, but that's because they have more traditional patterns than anybody else. For new made knives, they just have more choices.
I really buy the design, then try and figure out if the company can execute it (and for your non-Solingen knives, Boker the answer is no).

Cold Steel
Spyderco
GEC
They would be the companies that I buy the most of.

I have a quantity of first and second run 1972 rangers with their counterpart 110s. All micarta, gen 1 with inverted stamps; gen 2 right side up. I'd like to sell my whole collection of them. Contact me if you have interest.
